I wonder if it’s just for briefing/cutscene or will the target kill other NPC’s (assuming that this woman is a target). Video shows her kicking someone off the edge and beating somebody laying on the ground.

I was looking forward to today’s roadmap but IO delayed it… Thanks PlayStation for continually giving in to your spoiler urges!
Anyway, the map looks incredible! The pictures IOI released months ago looked promising but that trailer was something else. Granted there are reasons to remain apprehensive but I’ll be cautiously optimistic that it won’t be an escalation and that it’ll be enough to pass however much time is left until Freelancer drops.

but i guess FREE here indicates its going to be a smaller map with less mastery levels for sure…
Interesting map for sure, hopefully it gives me a reason to visit hitman more often, now that every map has gone stale on me T_T

I hope they have 1 or 2 weapons unlocks, and not just a pistol or sniper rifle.
Well New York and Whittleton have 20 mastery. They can easily pad it out

I too have a speculation that it might be Andaman Island (I posted this but deleted it as there was a real Ambrose Island).
I visited Andaman, there are some tribes which are cut off from the rest of the world and if they see any outsider (even Indians) in their area, they attack with bow and arrow - the following image is real when they are attacking a chopper flying above their area.
Due to this, some parts of the island is still restricted and tourist cannot visit them.
Trust me , this is real (check out the internet)
If IOI has plans on this, it would be good to have all aggressive tribes enforcers (even if 47 takes their disguise - since he is different from them) in a specific area.
Maybe something like the U’wa Tribes in Codename 47 -

Map looks great.
Happy to see that there is a bunch of public areas. So it’s not Colorado 2.0 in the end.
They remind me of the Fishing Shanty / the village area in Santa Fortuna.
Which makes me happy because I always found those areas design interesting, and rather unique.
Lots of entering and exiting small places, lots of stairs and up/down design.
And they were highly underused. (I still think that Santa Fortuna and Mumbai public urban area are the largest lost/untapped potential in the trilogy)

Those would be the Sentinelese of North Sentinel Island which is just one island in the chain. It is most likely going to be based more on Chatham Island or the other ones in Great Andaman since the level is partially an old fort.

And Travis!, Though IO has done the smart thing and just released the trailer now. So glad they didn’t try to take it down or anything and just went along with it. Still, wonder how much face palming and sighing has happened over the last hour.
Getting lot of Santa Fortuna vibes as well with hopefully the lesson of condensing down spaces. Just hoping for some good AI routines for contracts now as well.
Watching the trailer again. The Night vibe looks great. Kinda want to see Santa Fortuna at Dusk/Night now. Might give the map bit more of flair in it’s empty spaces.

It can’t be fun to have to rush out something you wanted to be important and revealed in a controlled setting. Even less when it happens during the night.
I imagine they would have wanted to do a live, a roadmap video, or both.

Yooooooooooo I just saw this and I’m hyped! and if I’m being honest, this map is very similar to the Far Cry 3 setting, I probably think this way because I recently played the game for the first time, but still, very similar, my hype meter just broke apart, I’m way too fucking hyped!

They probably should’ve reached out to Sony to unschedule the video’s release that more than likely was just on a timer then.
Eh, Communication break-down can happen on either side. Could be they contacted Sony and Sony didn’t forward on the request to the right people.
Of course we don’t know for certain what happened and likely won’t know. Either way a frustrating situation for marketing.
