Some times ago someone (I don’t remember who) posted that at first the design for Hitman 2016 was to give 47 a sort of safehouse (or at least a more involved inventory). They said it was supposed to be in Seoul, in a hangar, in an airport.

Now, the best things I can find is that the ticket in the opening cinematic has Seoul ICN for departure, and that all of the terminal scenes in H2016 looks to take place in the Seoul Incheon Airport (it’s a pretty faithful replica).

So, is there any source ? Or was it just an assumption.

My only knowledge of that is from the Alpha, where the menu has this:

But sadly the menu requires an online connection to load and we’ve never tried bypassing it, so we’ve never seen what this actually was,

All I know is that 47 is stuck in a box so that he doesn’t fall in the void, but it seems like a camera will move when the loadout is activated,
so I guess you wouldn’t control 47 in a hangar, but the camera could move into a room resembling the one with the lit table with all the gear on it, and that’s how you’d select your stuffs, which is pretty much what they did for Freelancer :joy:

Thanks @Luiluix.

It’s by looking back at the Freelancer reveal, and this exact part, that I remembered reading about it. I wouldn’t even be surprised if the Freelancer menu is based on H2016 work and code.
I was thinking about this exact layout for the “more involved inventory”.

Same thing with the merces, which were explored in H2.

Between them, the Molotov, and the Bubble gum, I think it’s pretty obvious that the Hitman Team had a long look at the stack of unused content they must have amassed along the years. It makes sense rentability wise.

Yeah, I’m happy that they’re finally implementing features they were trying to add way back then even if it’s just for Freelancer, it shows that they’re still very dedicated to their craft, and who knows maybe the next Hitman may have those as core mechanics

I’ve often been to the airport as I live and work in Korea. I have to say that they did an excellent job in replicating the airport. Let’s hope they make a map of it as it would be a lot of fun; the airport and Grand Hyatt across the way.

I say yer reply on my artwork and I was wondering why Tim Drake and Jason Todd weren’t yer favorite batman characters? As I really like them, Tim a bit more than Jason but still.

I find Todd kind of boring what with his whole identity being a sidekick and wanting to be a sidekick. It might be they have changed that since when I stopped reading regularly but last I heard he called himself Drake as an alias and it makes me wonder what Bruce sees in him.

I always found Jason kind of whiny both as a Robin and as Red Hood. The biggest sin though is Red Hood has 90s Dark Age styling that flat out doesn’t appeal to me in the slightest. Not helped by the fact that his biggest series Red Hood and the Outlaws is the worst thing DC has ever printed but I will admit that is hyperbole but not by much.

Robin sucks in general.

What are you on about? 1966 Robin was the best thing that has happened on this earth, just look at his clothing choice! :joy:

Fair points, the drake was probably one of the weakest parts of Tim’s life in comics but he’s been on the rise recently, and you can’t deny robin Jason is a whiny asshole. So yea fair.

Oh no you are one of those “Batman is better alone” people aren’t you?

I have a personal soft spot for Tim due to his struggle with identity and him being bisexual but Dick is undeniably the best and the recent Nightwing run has been an absolute treat and i recommend everyone to check out Nightwing #87. Bit cliche to say but its one of the best modern comics i’ve read from a visual standpoint

Batman is never alone, he always got Alfred and that’s enough imo.
The Villains are the more interesting Characters anyway

I personally think having atleast 1 robin is vital to Bruce evolving and developing as a character. Without a robin he can never truly move on from his parent’s death

I’m only here to see a man dressed as a bat fight a man with a terrible skin disease in a sewer, or a man made out of clay.

That is all understandable. I completely forgot that Tim is bisexual now which is odd given the huge backlash that move originally received.

Ah well that is better. I would put you down more but I can’t talk since I am in the “Batman is a crazy pseudo-fascist that beats on the underprivileged” camp which is the second worse type of Batman opinion if you express it wrong.

That is true.

Batman is a strange person. He dresses up like a rodent and hurts people to substitute his own inability to grapple with the fact that life is inherently unfair and chaotically random coupled with his inability to meaningfully replace his parents as protectors of Gotham because on a fundamental level Batman is emotionally stunted and developmentally challenged because of the lack of parental figures in his life and his childhood affording him no way of meaningfully experiencing tribulation.
