Ironically, it is possible that pistol-elimination is melee. Did not test that though.

I know that pistol elimination isnt a “Pistol kill” or whatever it’s called. Will test it later

I think it is by now, they fixed that some day.

If Pistol Elimination does not count as melee, try the same with the DAK SMG. At least in contract mode this is a melee kill.

Anyone still wear Abercrombie Fierce? I know it still exists but I haven’t smelled it on anyone in at least a decade.

Would any CTT players have happened to take screenshots of some of the showdown suspects? I’m looking for screenshots of suspects for a project I’m working on, if you have a screenshot of any number of suspects looking something like the example below (like target images) or if you have a screenshot of any of their discreet characteristics like a necklace or tattoo, or even a full body screenshot like the second example, please DM me them. I’ll be happy to give you credit when it’s finished!
I understand I could just wait 5 days for Freelancer to release and start taking all these screenshots myself, but it has been a very long week (and the weekend isn’t helping as much as I thought) so I think working on this will make me happy.

Suspect Examples

If nobody did, you just gotta wait 5 more days and then you can grab all the images of them you want.

Quite right. Just thought I might as well check seeing as I happened to take a screenshot of a suspect randomly during my play so others could have too. (and also half this project doesn’t involve the actual screenshots so I’m not too fussed)

Oh, snap! You had just said that, how did that not sink in?!

The one thing that came to my mind was one of the characteristics being ‘Tattoos’. There was one potential suspect I tagged as ‘Not a suspect’ because I didn’t notice any tattoos on her. Later I noticed a small tat on one of her hands. Nothing like on the face, arms, or legs. She had on a long sleeve (whatever) anyway.

Even the earrings can be very small… So you really do have to study potential suspects very closely.

Anyway, I’m not sure what your intention was, but my point is that there are or can be a lot of things, or very… hard to notice details when it comes to narrowing down suspects. But, I don’t want to discourage you. I just wanted to put that out there as a little FYI.

I can’t help but to think of something…

Let’s say you have a figure (they’re in their underwear) and to “generate” their clothing you’d have different sets you could swipe either direction to overlay whichever set. Then you’d have other layers you could swipe left or right to add or place some other feature… Like tattoos, jewelry, hats, glasses, etc.

Is there a notice of when you have found the right suspect that tells you they are the Leader, like with the Malestrom, or the Fugitive? Or do you just have to look at the evidence you have, go for it, and hope you made the right choice, like with the Twin, the Black Hat, and the Politician?

Well, with the suspects in Freelancer… You might have 2 or 3 suspects that have the same superficial features of the main target. You then have to follow them around and watch for their ‘tells’ (like habits). Whether they smoke, like to read, have a sweet tooth, drink… or have a nervous tic(?), etc. That helps in narrowing it down. But the other suspects might do similar actions. There might be one thing they do or don’t that will differentiate them from the others.

So, if a leader smokes, and another suspect smokes… You wouldn’t want to go just by that. You’d be better off seeing if there isn’t some other aspect that would narrow it down.

This is why it can get tedious if you have (maybe) 10 different suspects to follow around. Even if they go into trespassing areas. :face_exhaling:

Edit: Of course, you could always guess even if you’re not 100% sure. You might be right. :crossed_fingers:

So, you do have to take the chance and decide on your own who the target is? You don’t scan the suspects with that new camera tool and once you scan the right one they don’t turn red, or Diana doesn’t go “THAT is blah blah blah” like in the main game? You have to determine completely by yourself who the target is and hope you’re correct, am I getting that right?

That’s exactly it.
It’s the whole gameplay formula, purpose of the showdown.

Might be because I was in a bit of a rush a few times (once I realised how long Showdown missions normally took me), but man, I’d always go for the first person who fit one or both of the criteria for the Tells, but it’d almost always be wrong.
(Once I got super lucky and pushed a target off a ledge in the first 60 seconds)

But yeah, of course they’d pepper in some red herrings that also do other things…

Question then: do the Targets ONLY do the two tells on their profile, and that’s how to identify them? Or do they also perform actions not on their list?
Is “Coughing” a tell? There was this one weird mission where one suspect kept walking around, coughing every couple steps. I don’t know if that meant ‘dehydrated’ or not though…’

It can probably be found elsewhere in the forum, but the only tells I can recall are…

  1. Smoking
  2. Drinking/Thirsty
  3. (having a) Sweet Tooth. They might walk to a desert conspicuously left out somewhere for whatever reason, or they’ll carry a candy bar with them and eat it from time to time.
  4. Reading
  5. Nervous/Anxious (I never had a leader exhibit this, but I’ve seen suspects do it).
  6. Scheming (where they’ll call and schedule a meeting with another suspect)

And that’s all I can think of. I don’t believe they do non-listed actions/tells. Because if they did then that would lead the player to assume they’re not the correct target.

As for the coughing… I don’t know what’s up with that either. I’m sure I followed a sus around that coughed… One of the tells was smoking, so I was expecting him to, but he never did. :person_shrugging:

Unless there’s a tell of ‘Being Sick’ or ‘Has a Cold’.

Edit: That got me to thinking… ‘Has Allergies’ could be a good one. I don’t know / doubt they’ll have such a thing.

I remember there being a “has allergies” tell for me a few times. And yes the person walked around coughing all the time. I also got the “dehydrated” one too. They kept going back to a glass of water in their routine around the map.

What kind of nut(?) is this called? I’ve tried to “google it” but never found the answer… The only person I can think of that might know… @badeaguard since I’ve noticed similar things on his Baller replica (I think).

Edit: Bushing? I even search for that on amazon, but I don’t see anything with the flathead slot/s and internal threading. :man_facepalming:

It looks like a “Schlitzmutter”, unfortunately I only know the german word for it :see_no_evil: Something like “slot nut” in english maybe?

That might be what I’m thinking of… But that’s a little different than the illustration I made. But I could be wrong on the details – thus my illustration could be wrong.

And that word alone gave me better results (Thanks!!!). But that only goes to German sites… I’m not sure why I can’t find the right thing on Amazon. But I do get better results on Ebay. I’ll probably have to go with that. Then I’ll just need to figure the size and (maybe) thread count/ratio for what I’m needing.

I only found this one that looks a bit like your illustration. It’s for Stihl chainsaws. Other Schlitzmuttern I found are just with a flat thread.
