My thought is the silhouette of a fish jumping out of water.

Edit: Looking at it closer I now see the arm holding a gun.

I’ve thought the same thing lol

One hundred percent.
I continuously think of making a post asking about it, and then not.

(so thanks for taking the plunge)
(and nice to see I’m not alone there)

WTF? Where did this come from all of a sudden??

Seriously? None of you ever thought of clicking on it to enhance it? :joy:
You guys must produce some interesting results on a Rorschach test

Had a really good laugh reading these reactions out of nowhere though

You have a bit of a thing for fish, don´t you?

Yes, we did. But until we did, at first glance, it looks like a badger.

For a long time I thought I was a badger until I clicked on it and still my brain plays tricks on me whenever I see the avatar with the corner of my eyes

The illusion badger has also fooled me.

This needs a poll.

Does Rimland’s profile picture look like a badger?

  • Sure does, it fooled me!
  • Nah, didn’t fool me. I know my mustelids!

I must confess that it never resembled a badger in either small or large formats to me. I don’t know what you are all talking about.

Me asking for some consumer advice. Looking to buy a portable air conditioner. House, like most in the UK, doesn’t have air con built into. Want to get something a bit more effective than a fan. There are air coolers, which use ice packs and water to work, but reading it seems like they aren’t that much more effective. Portable air cons look to be a bit better, but even then the ones on the low to medium cost seem to also have their own reliability issues, noise issues, small lifespan, and you have to vent it out a window, which also seems to cause issues too. And high end units are too expensive for my budget.

I get paid a week on Wednesday. Will do more digging. I’m probably leaning against it honestly unless I find something with rave reviews and a good price tag. If anything, this has made me think that in the future, I should invest in an actual mounted unit. Cost of a unit and labour is at least £3000, but lets face it, the summers are only going to get worse in the future. Something to think about anyway.

I’m looking for new VR games to try out. Does anyone know any good ones I should look into?

Any particular interests or are you ok with any type of game

I enjoy RPGs, games with a story, or lots of things to interact with around me. So far I’ve seen games like Beat Saber but that’s not really what I’m looking for in a game. That’s most of what I can think of off the top of my head anyways. Sorry if that doesn’t really give any good ideas. I’m not the best explaining what I want or am thinking.

If you like escape rooms, I really liked Egression. Highly recommended.

SUPER HOT is even better in VR.

I have no experience with it, but the VR version of L.A. Noire always seemed like it would be an absolute blast to goof around in.

The Summer Sale is on right now - anyone US-based here willing to risk the experiment for me?
