Ask HMF anything

Hmmm this does work.

Thanks. Lately I’ve noticed more bugs than in a post-party college dorm room.

Okay. Just checked.
Whats missing for me atm is:

Sniper Rifles
Sieger 300 Advanced
Jaeger 7 MkII
ICA Bartoli Woodman HRC

Shotguns
Enram HV Covert MkII

Assault Rifles
Tac-4 AR Auto

So i got the Lancer back. But now the Jaeger 7 MkII is gone. It always seem to be three sniper rifles missing. Checked the assault rifle and shotgun tabs as well to find theres also missing one each. I‘ll try again after the next update.

Weird.

I reinstalled H3 and got my Lancer back in the Loadout. jaeger 7 MKII still can’t be smuggled. Could that ever be ? I’ve never used it.

I was shocked that a reinstall fixed it. My expansion pass is still broken though.

I just got a reply from IOI telling me to clear my Xbox cache and reinstall the game. I’ve never cleared the cache before. It’s almost 6am for me so I’ll try that later tonight lol.

What platform are you on? Hopefully it’ll get fixed. I’d send them a ticket.

Im on ps4. And i did submit a ticket.

I would have got no problem with certain weapons not being available for container or agency pickup. But both? Deffo a bug.

Can you bring in the Sieger 300 Advanced?

I can. Never a problem , so far. That’s one of my favorites. I’d be bullshit….

Hard rest. Hold the Xbox button on your console in for 30 seconds. Unplug for 30 and then plug it back on.

Deluxe owners have you ever listened to director’s commentary to any or all of the missions?

  • Yes
  • Yes, partially
  • Not interested to listen

Thanks. I’ve only hard reset it before.

I also looked up cache clearing last night and found this method.

The second option requires clearing the cache through your Xbox menu. Follow these steps:

  • Press the Xbox button on your controller and go to your Settings menu.
  • Select Devices and Connections .
  • Select the Blu-Ray option.
  • Choose the Persistent Storage option and select Clear .

i listened to them on my second playthrough of all my missions, theyre quite great, though a bit short

I can’t remember if I listened to them, but if @Khakiasp said they were short…. I definitely listened and forgot shortly after lol.

I listened to them all once. I played through the game once and then went back and just listened to each one, quit, onto the next, and then I went for a second play through.

So, now with the Holiday Hoarders mission available again, is there a consistent way of getting Santa’s disguise? Is there a “route” that he takes or is it random? The bells haven’t helped me at all.

I followed him all around and here is what I saw

Is it better (or worse) than NFS?
What differences both games have?
I mean should I refund NFS and buy The Crew?

Um… I’d say it really depends on what you’re looking for. Both TC and TC2 are famous for its enormous map. It’s of course not a whole scale of the US, but it does capture most of the cities and major sceneries. The NFS you bought recently was HP Remastered, right? Despite the map being much smaller, Seacrest County still offers plenty of scenery variations that will probably keep freshen up your experience.

The two franchises, despite both emphasizing on open world racing, have very different features. NFS is more about action, hence the famous police chase mechanism. While the one you bought (HP 2010 RE) doesn’t feature body nor performance modifications, but the series is also famous for massive customization options too.

The Crew is more about variations. You get more varied “disciplines” and choices on vehicles. This is even more highlighted with TC2, with speedboats, stunt planes, formula race cars, etc. It’s all about diversity, at least in terms of vehicles and event types.

Regarding your final question, should you refund HP 2010 Remastered for The Crew? I don’t think you need to. Hot Pursuit is considered by many to be the best of 2010s NFS for a reason: its brilliant pursuit tech system and intense chases. I’d say if you so far have only played on the Racer side, you should definitely try the Police side too! It’s so satisfying to brutally smash into those expansive supercars and bust some criminals! :racing_car::boom::police_car:

And since you’re on Steam, you might want to try out Forza Horizon 4 and 5 too! The series has dominated open world racing genre for a long time already. Finally, I’d like to say I am very glad to hear you jump on board to dive into this genre!

I just not that happy with what I got buying Remastered.
I always forget what game I like the best. And it is HP2, not HP.
And seems I made a mistake buying Remastered. HP2 seems out of sells now, so I can’t have it officially and shame it doesn’t have a remaster
I have been into racing long-long ago, I think even before GTA. But I haven’t played much of racing, HP2 was the most game played.
Thank you for your answer, I will think about buying The Crew. I just downloaded demo and will try it before deciding

You’re welcome. I am glad to help.

Yeah it’s a shame. Any NFS game prior to Most Wanted 2012 were all digitally delisted, so you can’t find them anywhere without digging the bin at your local PC game store or pirating them.

I wonder which version of HP2 you played before though, is it the PC release made by EA Canada, or the PS2 release made by Black Box? Usually it’s the latter was the one favored by most people and acclaimed by the reviewers. It’s their success that allowed Black Box to become the chief NFS developer, while also majorly chaging the series’ direction into a more Fast & Furious esque tuner franchise.

I don’t have a console and the most of the games I played on PC.
Need For Speed is not an exception.
I remember all versions I was able to find were crashing at one specific point and there were no cure for that I could find. So I just stopped playing. It was an unofficial versions because even at that time I couldn’t find an official game to play. It was, I think, about 10 years ago, or even more

In Chongqing… Does anyone have any idea why you’re able to scan the white sedan (the back license plate? with your camera) that is outside the 3 story apartment / across from the noodle place? I’m assuming it belongs to “Mr. Pritchard”.

On the map you’ll see a ‘camera’ spot, and it goes away after you scan it… Unless it’s something from the normal mission. I was feeling out / making a contract at the time when I found it.
