BERLIN, Germany (Mission #3) - Location Discussion

It’s just a perfectly timed exit.

Seems to be a widely present bug. I´ve had the same sort of crash numerous times, as have others judging by the threads. Hopefully they´ll fix it. Oh but it is fun just mowing them all down with an smg there (gotta try a shotgun and sniper version soon). Great for a SASO run without even entering the club.

As @William1066 mentions, they go to the exit where Thames is patrolling (and where you can use the scooter as seen on Beldingford´s picture above). So the easiest way is just to kill Thames (or one of the biker-disguised ones) as last and wait for them by the exit (by the gate is the easiest, though killing them from the rooftop or bridge or crane should work as well). You can easily take them out there (they still count as targets, even though they are no longer marked).

Now that I think about it, the Constant must have offered ICA a LOT of money for going after their, by far, best agent.

I don’t feel like opening a new threat about it, but the german translation is really misleading. The map/mission is called “Am Ende der Nahrungskette”, which translates to “at the end of the food chain”.
Now by definition, the apex predator is on top(at the end) of the food chain, so it makes sense.

But the term is often used in another context by german media to describe the losers at the lower end of the food chain. So at first the title appeared to be the very opposite of apex predator.

Few examples from a quick google search (exploited construction workers at the end of the food chain, and bottom league football clubs struggling with money at the end of the food chain)
“Ausgebeutete Bauarbeiter - Am Ende der Nahrungskette”
“Auch am eher unteren Ende der Nahrungskette”
“Wir befinden uns halt am Ende der Nahrungskette”

The mission picture of 47 descending the dark stairwell also gives the appearance he is rock bottom

Is this “the only” graffity in the location? I could have sworn there is double that already in just a single bathroom. The attention to detail is mindblowing. I thought there is no way to top having HD bread in sapienza.

I was wrong

In the English version Diana calls 47 Apex Predator in a later custscene and I immediately thought back to the mission title. Do you remember how it was translated in that instance?

Well the voiceover is in english, so she says “Agent 47. The Apex Predator.” But the subtitle (translated) says

Agent 47. “The end of the food chain”

They really pull this through to the end :black_heart:

Money? INFORMATION.

I realise that the point of this level is not to give you the feeling of being hunted, but that they are being hunted by you. So “At the End of the Food Chain” could be referring to the Agents, being hunted by the predator.

I also just realised the Rave On Suit counts as, well, a suit. So maybe we’re getting it as an unlock soon?

Just a quick question: Where can i find any informations about the club owner’s save code? I don’t know the code and want to find it, but couldn’t gather any information yet.
Are there NPC’s talking about the code? Or something like a post it?
Thanks in advance :kissing_heart:

The two tech NPCs outside of the office talk about what the code. They give you a very clear clue, that you as a German should know :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

I wonder if an explosive near the exit would do the trick…

Or google it, for us non-germans or young’uns that aren’t familiar with it…

It´s also an option, but you would probably have to use several explosives if you wanted to kill all of them that way. They don´t arrive at the same time. I´ve had 2-3 at max in a small enough cluster to be killed by a single explosion. Maybe it´s possible to time it appropriately though… Also, an explosion will draw the attention of (at least) the two guards at the nearby gate, though you could just ko them beforehand.

I wonder how many people had to google the code for the Mendoza wine cellar :joy:

No worries, I’m finishing up the last uncompleted mission story now in Chongqing then I’m moving on to Mendoza!

The new game is awesome. But right now I’m obsessed with Berlin. Since the first playthrough i’m amazed by this map and can’t get my hands off it. It’s beautiful, the sounds and music create such a unique atmosphere. The disguises are badass, the club sound makes me wanna dance everytime and Berlin invites you to explore and check every corner.
The ability to choose 5 of 10 targets or kill’em all is such a great twist after Dartmoore.

All other maps are awesome too. But i just can’t stop playing Berlin atm. I love it!
This map is a masterpiece in all aspects of a hitman level design
11/10

This is my favorite strategy for Berlin so far, played it yesterday.

Killing all 10 Agents SA/SO in under 4 Minutes
(9 by Sniper Rifle 1 by bag of bricks accident)

I remember trying to figure out how to start the secret meeting, thinking a trigger item might be in the safe, and eventually I just thought of A Vintage Year, the similarity with The Farewell, Blood Money released in 2006 (IIRC) and I literally just guessed it lol.

That was one of my best moments in Mendoza.
