BERLIN, Germany (Mission #3) - Location Discussion

I’m having an issue where I can’t seem to load my Berlin saves. I can play the level just fine, but if I have to load an autosave it tells me that I ā€œno longer have access to this contentā€ and to check the Hitman 2 Gold Access Pass. All the other levels seem to be loading just fine (admittedly I only checked Dubai and Marrakesh).

Anyone else have the problem that when I kill 2 targets as DJ the game crash and sent me out, .
Someone with same problem?

People have encountered the game crashing whenever they kill Montgomery, who is one of those two on the bridge there. It’s not something I’ve experienced, though.

The atmosphere of this level is really awesome. The whole narrative storytelling of the beginning, where there’s a van parked up by the forest clearing, finding a body with a knife in it, then getting the call. And not being given any intel or map until you get the earpiece is really smart. The club and all the graffiti is a masterpiece visually, and although the music isn’t my taste, it fits in perfectly and could not fault it.
As I played Dartmoor yesterday, then onto Berlin today, I did close the level and restart it as I felt that I had missed a cinematic, as it seemed there was no reason 47 was in Germany. I guess it’s to meet Olivia and I missed something calling to it, but it just felt like there was a missing connection (it does show the importance of narrative between random levels, and that we can’t really get away with arbitrary maps with no links anymore)

The fact that Montgomery was listed as ā€˜the top ICA agent’ it’s kind of weird that you don’t have to kill him. Don’t get me wrong, I love the ability to pick between any of the 11 targets, but it might help for reasoning to have one ā€˜main’ agent to centre it round (giving at least some personality and depth) and you can pick the rest. But then again that one target would have to have a lot more range in opportunities, and it may have resulted in the rest suffering because of it.

I asked this question on Tumblr and we came to the end, that 47 is just there because of a coincidence, but it that right? I don’t really get why he is in that Club and why the Club has been infiltrated? It sound okay that it was just a coincidence but it’s still a bit weird IMO. Did I missed something? Is it explained somewhere why he even went to the Club or even near the Club?

I’m disappointed that you can’t kill anyone with the scooter while exfiltrating, it just moves them aside. Tried to do that with agent Thames.

I felt the same way, as in I thought I missed some information. Especially when the club owner obviously was a friend of Grey and was waitibg for him to help him out with something. He is shocked when Montgomery tells him Grey is dead.

Yeah, Grey had a safehouse in Berlin in H2, so I guess it works out, but still.

47 is at the club because Olivia was there. ICA agents came after her and 47 wants to send a message to the ICA to basically back off. So he kills 5 agents then meets up with Olivia at a nearby diner

Yeah I just thought there maybe a reason why Olivia picked the club to meet him and not the safe house. Someone said the club owner talked about Grey but I missed that conversation. I think I need to find that, maybe I will understand it better than.

Olivia: ā€œDid you kill them all?ā€

47: ā€œI will deliver the point home to themā€

Olivia:"…How does Diana put-up with this?"

I believe the club was the meeting place for 47, Grey and Olivia after Dartmoor. The club owner was expecting them. Then blah blah blah happens and ICA is there. Olivia is injured and runs, 47 decides to go anyway and send a message.

I’m not a big fan of the overall narrative, I tend to pretend the levels are self contained hits, but that’s the gist of it I believe.

That makes sense. Feels like there was a scene missing, or some dialogue glossed over thought if a lot of people are asking about the relevance of Berlin.

Yeah I was wondering… in the cutscene with Olivia it looks like there are some buildings that look like a factory and Graffitis similar to the ones in the club outside the window. So maybe Grey’s safe house is on the same ground as the club and the owner gave him shelter there. That would at least explain why they would meet up in a club in the middle of nowhere.

So… Turns out Agent Lowenthal’s ā€œBikerā€ disguise is completely different from the normal ā€œBikerā€ disguise.
I knocked out a bunch of Lowenthal’s friends, became compromised as a Biker, but when I put on his specific green clothes, I’m en entirely different person. Okay then…

Damn it, this map is growing on me! Had two playthroughs tonight: To get the T-47 challenge, and to become the club-owner - HOLY SHIT I loved that opportunity, my GOD what fun it was!

Yeah, I too just did another playthrough of this map, checking off a bunch of assassination challenges and bonus feats.
This map is really good! It’s daunting at first, but that’s probably cause it’s supposed to be.

Honestly, at first I didn’t get the title of ā€œApex Predatorā€, since I felt like I was the one being hunted in unfamiliar territory, with no itel as to which guard is a civilian or not. But, after using one of the other starting locations that has them all revealed, and with my exploration of the building to check off challenges and areas, I really felt more on top of things and the one to be feared.

I’m starting to get the hang of this map, though I still don’t get the evacuation process. Where do the NPCs run off to? How the hell do I track them when 5 are dead? (Because they become unmarked. I wish they’d stay marked.)

I’d bet you could kill 4 and then do the club owner opportunity to get a bunch of the rest at once?

You can ride stuff?! Holy shit, I have to explore the map a lot more then.
