She puts her hand on his then the shot changes back to a wide angle so you can take back control of 47 but at first it flashes grey. Turns out it was the neurotoxin, not him having a BSOD because Diana touched him.
Iâve posted quite a few times on this but like what a few other guys have said, we believe 47 is referring to the âAgentâ part when Diana acknowledges him. She refers to him as âAgentâ 47 during the ending cut scene and he replies thatâs not who he is anymore (meaning an Agent under contract killing for the ICA). 47 then acknowledges at the end of the trailer, he chooses this path because he can and itâs his choice, accepting he will be a killer but under his terms. Remember at the end of the Prologue mission in the 2016 game, he tells Diana to make 47 his name.
If people think heâs going to now start calling himself Tobias Rieper as his actual name in the next gameâŚWell letâs just say it wouldnât exactly seem right in terms of marketing Fans would have trouble accepting this in my opinion.
Completed this level late last night. I had been intentionally taking my time through the game and really enjoying Mendoza before I decided I should give it a go. What I will say first of all is that as a linear level there is some excellent game design and execution. Echoes of Metal Gear Solid and even the Uncharted 2 train sequence throughout! Iâm looking forward to trying to complete it on master difficulty SA/SO. That said, I had completely avoided spoilers aside from the location names. When thinking about âCarpathian Mountainsâ, an expansive location with a forest, a small remote village and secret base was conjured up in my mind. Iâve recently seen a documentary about the Carpathian Mountains and I was genuinely excited, especially given the quality of the other sandbox locations. With that in mind I have to express disappointment. The mission as it stands should really have been an epilogue. I think we need to plead with Travis for an extra dlc map. The additional maps for Hitman 2 were some of the best in the series.
Finally got around to finishing the game. The prologue to this in dream state was hauntingly beautiful. Loved this mission.
I donât like the mission for the most part but itâs pretty funny to mess around with the armored guards
question about the ending. do diana and 47 live together now? unless⌠it shows her in a cabin in a snowy area, and 47 is jogging in what looks to be the same snowy place. then he goes inside of a cabinâŚbut why is he on the phone with her if she is inside there, too?
@Bourbon you probably have a good answer because you love this stuff lol
Just going there to meet her for their new venture, surely.
Awww itâs like you know me
This is the establishing shot of the cabin when Edwards first calls Diana. Note the snow-covered porch as we approach from the side:
And this is the cabin that 47 enters in the final scene:
Note the porch, this time is shown from a direct viewpoint.
One thing is clear: Diana is not inside the cabin when he arrives. Why? There are a few in-game possibilities, to make sure he wasnât there under a false flag being the most obvious. On a more meta level, this game was a Price Is Right showcase of goodies for shippers so IOI had to inject some degree of plausible deniability.
Now, for the larger question of whether or not they live together, it might surprise you to hear my answer is no. Even though theyâre equals, this is not a relationship destined for domestic bliss and Babies Ever After. Theyâre both fiercely independent people and there is still the safety risk of being tied together by virtue of their line of work. Is it my personal headcanon that they debrief after missions in Pound Town? Yes. Yes it is. But this is admittedly unsupported by the evidence.
In conclusion: no one, not even the worldâs top assassins, can live in the Fuck Cabin forever but they do visit every so often. Thank you for coming to my TEDTalk.
Also because 47 arrived one year later after Diana was there burning her Providence pin, as per the subtitle that showed up on the cutscene.
Ah see that scene does not take place at the Fuck Cabin.
Compare the clean lines, presence of a tv and lack of windows where Diana is as she burns her Providence stuff:
vs. the rustic design, lack of tv and presence of windows as 47 enters the cabin:
Nah itâs the same place. In the final shot with Diana, you see the phone half sitting on a folder, which is exactly the same as the shot of the phone we see 47 see when he first walks in.
Both moveable items in game, and stock assets.
Whereâs the tv? The windows?
The lack of windows can be explainded with them being out of view and it being dark outside.
that definitely makes more sense than them living together. amazing analysis of the relationship that is 47/Diana, as always, bourbon. i suck at reading into subtext so i will take your word for it haha. wonât lie it would have been kind of sweet if they were thoâŚ
He needs to chill. Diana only betrays 47 once every 4 games, so he has until Hitman 12* before she does it again. Drama queen.
*god knows if it will be called Hitman 12, will possibly be Hitman 3 mk3: not Contracts or HITMAN 3 (the eighth game in the series)
âŚthis is why I will NEVER get to name a Hitman game
âno one, not even the worldâs top assassins, can live in the Fuck Cabin foreverâ that needs to be on a shirt or something, made me spit out my soda.
Im sure its the same place, but since Diana now can live everywhere and doesnt need to hide anymore, she left with the TV and other things, and left behind stuff for 47 to pick up.
She took the couch, so now I just sit on the floor.
Maybe. But:
The girls and I joke that heâs just gonna get used to it. Like every time he takes a sip of coffee and ends up on the floor, his only reaction will be âI wonder what shadowy organization my wife is taking down today!â
