CHONGQING, China (Mission #4) - Location Discussion

This area was shown in the reveal trailer for Chongqing. Could this be the area behind the restaurant where the shipping container is?

Also, notice that 47 is climbing on one of the higher floors of the restaurant. I’d assume that IO was planning to make more floors on the restaurant but it got cut or they ran out of time.

Nah, looks like its the area where the three homeless people are hanging out around a barrel fire. You can see one of the ladders that are in the same area so you get onto the scaffolding to climb into the Block through an open window.

In the photo its look like behing the Block where the homeless guys and the electronic store

and Yes in the trailer we see something else … in the alleys you see guard doing patrols and they having Ak47 and not Handgun.

Elevators?

Are there any elevators in or around the restaurant? I didn’t really search but I didn’t see anything around except the ICA Facility container entrance

No, but there genuinely is a staircase leading to the upper floor. It is inaccessible due to a fence, and the door upstairs is likely not meant to be interactive and leading anywhere.

I’d love for a bonus mission to make that restaurant whole

Do Hush or Royce ever eat or drink anything throughout the entire mission?

I don’t think so.
But you can poison them either with emetic or with lethal poison.
We have Sieker that shoots with emetic darts and lethal syringes

You can also poison them with consumable poison types despite there being no food or drinks they consume.

For Hush, you have to power up his relaxing chair by finding a fuse cell. Once he sits down you can go to the balcony outside and poison the ventilation system which leads straight to Hush’s chair.

For Royce, you have to put as many analysts as you can in the break room, she’ll then kick out everyone having a break, and later sit inside stating that “She is the one that needs a break”.
The break room uses some sort of special drugs to make the people inside them more relaxed. So, similar to Hush’s method, you can find the room’s ventilation system nearby and poison Royce.

You don’t even need to wait for him to sit down. You can just power up the chair, apply the poison, and go about your business. The poison won’t start rolling in until he uses the chair.

I have to admit, I wish that the Fortune Cat figurine in the restaurant could have been picked up and used as a melee weapon.

I’m having trouble putting the Facility Emergency Exit as a Required Exit for a contract. Is this possible?

The exit is bugged for contract creation, as far as I know it is reported and tracked already. If you use that exit, you can neither set the “Required Exit” neither the “Time Limit” complication.

I’m trying to complete this contract which requires Masked Facility Guard disguises.

Do you need to kill Royce and Hush to hack the core + initiate the meltdown? I’ll try pacifying them first.

Edit: nope, they both need to die.

Question:

What do you think is the most iconic thing about this mission/ location. Is it the neon lit streets? The underground lab? the view? Or Something completely different?

A girl around with short hair and bright green bag, probably!

Nah, serious answer: Deleting 47 and Diana’s data, uploading ICA files, and escaping the fire through tunnels for the first time. It’s an unforgettable experience.

This is a dark rainy mission.

This might be a bit weird, but the homeless people.

When somebody first opens up the mission, they will probably see homeless people from afar, but when they get close, they will realize that there is something wrong with them (sounds in their heads, delusion, being crazy, etc.) and that helps to set the mood for the rest of the mission and get you wondering “What is going on here?”.
