I never know how speedrunners do it :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes: they seem to have endless tricks up their sleeves

btw how did you make the designs for the complications and stuff

Used a vector editor, very good tool to have. I personally use Inkscape just because it’s free

A sub 2 is phenomenal as is

Finally got my own run down to something decent

This is the closest I’ve come to speedrunning in a while and jesus I forgot how hard it is :joy: the guard just before the chopper had such tight timing and he ruined like 80% of my runs

this is why you don’t make it hard for amateurs

Do you mean specifically this one or just a general statement about speedrunning?

I’d say speedrunning in general inherently has a level of difficulty/skill requirement built into it. You need to complete X number of things in near perfect succession. But the only way “amateurs” get better is through practice, never gonna be easy at the start. I don’t even wanna think about the level of grind and effort high level players over on FSD have put into it :grimacing:

Another sub 2 :flushed:

Also yeah, in the final 24 hours now (less than that but), so get any last minute submissions in. Then it’s winners announcement and @Khakiasp’s Trial tomorrow

Ay that’s sick! :open_mouth:
You still have time to take over 1st spot.

I’m gonna leave it at 1:28, ik that better execution could save me 1-2 seconds, and panic strats quite some seconds aswell, but I’m happy with my run and already had 5h of failed attempts afterwards, while getting this one took like 30 min.

Also I’m probably gonna be asleep later, so here is the link in advance, its set to be public at the deadline: - YouTube
Looking forward to watching other runs tomorrow!

Thanks again to Contractor for reviving this format and the first great challenge, looking forward to the next one.

Here’s the opposite of a speedrun!

I saved the video, so just PM me if you’d like it, Contractor.

My last run. I uploaded it but forgot to share. But it doesn’t matter anymore.

I’d like to see the winner’s run!

This is the very first time I’ve ever tried to legitimately speedrun something, let alone experiment with bullet panic tactics. (They’re cool, but very inconsistent with how/where NPCs panic.)

I’ve managed to shave my run down to under 3 minutes which is cool. No idea how someone can get 1m30 ish. It takes like 30 seconds to get from one end of Kronstadt to the other!

Edit: seems I found this too late. Ah well.

Just watched everyone’s videos. I’m impressed with all of them. Cool to see how each overlaps in some sort of way.

@Ligox I’m stunned, stunned that you managed to use the dummy photo, stop Derek right in front of the bot, and it managed to kill him. That’s some galaxy brain stuff right there.

@Yannini
Well earned 1m30. That flowed so smooth, and the kill set-ups were great.
(I’m also glad to be the only other recorded person so far to have figured out the “shoot the fuze box without climbing the pipe” strategy.)

here’s my video for my 1:30

Good one buddy, but for the trial there was an optional objective of killing Derek Mcinnis either with the PALLAS robot or a Concept 5, you got it with the ica f/a stealth.
