Cross progression is coming to Hitman WoA February 2nd

@IOI_Artjoms I have a question regarding DLC progress. If I only buy the standard edition on the second device, what will happen to my progress from Heaven Island and New York, which are maps from the deluxe pack. Will that progress transfer once I buy the deluxe pack on the second device or will that not transfer at all?

Maybe the iOS suit works differently then. I downloaded the free pack and got the The Black Turtle Streak in the inventory… :person_shrugging:

Edit: Yeah, they’ve set it up differently. Downloaded the FSP from Microsoft Store and no Green Streak Suit.

I’m not sure whether Peacock does is in accordance with the way they distribute platform-exclusive suits. But those suits have no ‘unlocking’ ways, so there’s no recognized data about the suits to transfer.

I second this. I hope this will convince IOI to add unlockable challenges for all three ET coins, the Aluminum Travel Briefcase, and the Winter Coats. The only one I have is the briefcase, but I still think all should be available.

I feel linking your accounts should grant you access to that platforms exclusive suit, but for the Black Winter Suit, travel cases, coin, etc. I feel they could figure another way that still revolves around linking, connecting, following, etc. This would at least follow the theme here with encouragement of linking things to your IOI account and save room for truly new stuff as unlocks to come in the next roadmaps.

The short answer is no, because both accounts are missing time-limited things & there’s no “carryover” between them, you’re just logging in to one or the other.

You can get the Disruptor pack challenges on the Switch account though, by setting that as the active account & playing the DLC on Xbox. You can’t actually use the items when you go back to the Switch (because the pack isn’t installed there) but you’ll technically have them unlocked.

And what if I do it in the other direction? I do have the Bruce Lee pack on Xbox, I just didn’t play the ET there when it was live. Or will I lose everything that’s on Xbox but not on switch in that case?

I don’t know enough about how the game works, but if the game is pinging out some sort of message when it connects - I assume it would be doing it every time you connect to the server but if its not your first connection then the message is just ignored and nothing happens with it. If it is sending it every connection, then it would then send when you’re on an alternate profile once cross-progression is live and result in an additional suit getting added because you don’t already have it?

But yeah, completely uninformed opinion here. So happy to be proven wrong if someone with more knowledge wants to jump in.

On an unrelated note, the lack of capitalisation here is triggering me.

At least that part of the page is readable…

Oh yeah, speaking of the IOI Account page…MAN the UI looks nice now. The elements are centralised to be mobile compatible, there’s good use of negative space, and the elements are not oversized. Excellent work, web team!

Lotta inspiration from recent modern UI elements, reminds me of the Epic Games Store store in theme and design.

TFW your account page has a better menu UI than your game and your patcnnotes pages

If you do it the other way around & make the Xbox your active account, you won’t have access to the karate suit until either a) the ET comes back around & you earn it on that account, or b) you turn off cross-progression & the Switch gets its original save file back, which has the suit.
