Cut Content as Mod Resources

Mods have played a huge roll in elevating the World of Assassination on PC. A lot can be made from what’s currently in the game and I truly appreciate IOI for not throwing C&D’s left & right like many other companies would. Seriously IOI, thank you for allowing the community to have this much fun with your game.

I recognize that we will never get an official dev kit, which I can completely accept. Instead I have a different idea, people have suggested cut content for years now such as cut voice lines, The Brothers, human shields, carriable crates, blood pool detection, crime scenes, point shooting, reinforcements, etc.

It’s clear that at this point there’s an audience for such features yet no intention for them to officially add said features in the official gameplay loop. Which is why I suggest reinserting certain cut features into the games files for the community to use unofficially as a compromise. I believe this would be a massive blessing & boon to the modding community as long as it doesn’t massively bloat the game files of course.

THIS!! Specifically body shields, blood pool detection or bloody footprints and crime scenes for another layer of realism that would be a dream for us blood money fans to be played in HITMAN WOA. I also seen different kill animations in the alpha build of the game that would be interesting to see return

Agree with OP post. Been asked since the release of the first HITMAN in 2016 :warning:

Especially:

  • Human shield (manual AND surrender)
  • Plate carrying (smuggle items and weapons, blending in)
  • Keyboard hotkeys for weapons (like in Absolution)
  • Blood pools/crime scenes investigations (another challenge, more realism)

So much wasted potential in here, all of that to please to a mainstream audience and “de-escalate” the situations according to interviews :confused:

An alternative should be possible, at least on Professional mode :+1:

We know these features work within the engine yet they refused to implement them. Like I said, I know they will never add them officially but it would be a massive waste if they never found their way into the game in some way.
