In the trailer, Roberto has Silvio’s sweater from the release.
It’s interesting how some character features of Silvio and Roberto were kind of switched between them since Alpha.

Back when the guards were still Cicada in the same outfit as Paris and that rifle at the end with the stainless finish !!! We never got that thing did we?

those were placeholder weapons from Absolution
Though they had a unique skin for the Advanced sniper which plays Ave Maria when aiming

I still want that gun with the stainless finish, I hoped for the ICA version of the Hunting Rifle but nope, all grey for some reason.
Whats with all that grey by the way? Its hard to find anything black in the game.

I dont think so, it was a place holder. The only place holder / cut alpha content Im aware of that made it into the game is the original blackballer, and thats all thanks to @badeaguard !

It’s cool that they wanted to have modern and classic looks for weapons, would’ve been amazing with the weapon customization as well

And I fought for it. In some way.
I was really angry and very sad at the same time that they took that gun out from the game because it was meant to be 47’s icon weapon.
The Blackballer, now known as Blacktrinity, is the “soft” reboot of the Silverballer in fact it follows the same aesthetics from it but lightly modified.
I made countless posts about it. I asked the dev about it, I send PMs to them from here and I even manage to send 2 members from this forum who had the chance to meet them in Germany to ask them directly IN PERSON! Why? Why did they removed the Blackballer?
In all cases I received no answer. But at the end after 5 years when they announced the Trinity pack, on live broadcast I remember they had this huge smile on their faces and talked about the Black gun is back and who known knows what we are talking about and I actually had a tear of happiness ran down my cheek… No joke
I think that day I had 20+ notifications of people tagging me about it.
And you know what? I finally found my peace with this game and I started to love it. That gun, that insignificant gun for most of you made the new Hitman games Hitman games again for me. It really took that little to make me happy.

The blackballer is this weapon right? If so they could’ve made it come back anytime since it’s still in the game files

Its exactly that one.
It has always been there hidden in the files. Why did they removed it? We have no clue.

Because, as much as the “Black Trinity” looks to be the Blackballer; it isnt?
If you compare it, the colors and “material” look different?
Is that just me overthinking, or is it true, @badeaguard ?

It is the same gun with everything on it but there are renders where you find it all black and others where it has 2 tone black.
Even when they announced the game in Alpha phase it had the same mix of sometimes one color and other times 2 color tone.
Not really a big deal. Personally I prefer one color.

Looks practically the same to me I think IO removed the pistol at first because the model is one piece, while now they use a bunch of gun pieces which is easier to make different type of pistols (e.g. Striker is using the same prefab as the Silverballers, but they set the pieces manually to make it look different either it is material-wise or model-wise)

All the 1911 pistols in the game are all the same one pistol but with different accessories and colors besides this one, the Blackballer.
The Blackballer has the same identical aspects of the original Silverballer from Absolution besides the slide being a straight line.
Then again I really don’t care as long as it is back.

Yes that’s kind of what I meant by they’re all using the Silverballers, IO just changes some of the pieces to make the guns unique

Oh, ok! I didn’t know it always have been two versions. I do like the black one more too, the grey looks to much like the grey-blue-ish they have on to many items.

That sounds an aweful lot like customisation to me, and gosh do I wish it would be in the game. How much would I love to use a silenced “ICA Classic” or an unsurpressed “Red Trinity”…
