With some modding knowledge, it isn’t super hard to edit the pieces and add the ones you’d like, removing a silencer, or adding a railing and sight etc… you can make very cool looking weapons that way
But, if it is that easy, why didn’t someone already went through there and made more versions of the gun, adding silenced and unsilenced versions etc?
I could try to be that guy, but my modding knowledge isn’t much beyond “Copy here, drop there”!
Not a lot of people are willing to everyone has their own mods ideas and I guess that isn’t one of them
But recently someone’s been making custom weapons:
They did not post it on Nexus though, it’s on the Discord modding server
Holy jeebus they look incredible. Where can I find this discord mod server? And if it’s restricted, is there a way to replicate this for a beginner like me?
You can find an invite to it on RPKG Tool - Notex.app just click the Discord logo
Oooh thank you! Just a quick question: if I mod the game, can I play online? Do I get “banned”?
You won’t get banned IO doesn’t endorse modding but doesn’t stop us from it as well (I guess as long as we don’t mess with their backend, modding is fine), some mods work online, while others work offline only (mostly the ones changing stuffs that are normally provided by the servers)
With the help of new texture tools I was able to get the textures used on the head in the Alpha:
Turns out they are using the “December 2014” head
(I removed the subsurface I tried to make, so the normal maps show much better)
It also means that the head used in the E3 videos is actually the same one he’s got a lot of scars
Do you have a high-res picture of those newspapers by any chance? Not only are the title puns pretty funny (In French) But there are mentions of the Swedish embassy in Marrakech, A bad ass Janus, A cult in an Italian resort town (also a blackout at the White House lol)…
Nope sadly that’s how the texture is in the game, there’s no higher res version available
Can anyone confirm if this dialogue remains in the final game on Marrakesh? I’ve checked everywhere and haven’t heard it, but just want confirmation.
That first one? That does ring a bell… but I’ve played both so I might be misremembering
I think the 1st dialogue takes place in the auditorium area (you know, the moose room) within the consulate. There are a man and a woman wearing formal suits and having such conversation at a table with food. I can’t remember where the Crystal Dawn one takes place, but I do think it’s still in the game.
The second dialogue takes place next to the shisha café near the carpet shops. Though both guys part ways after “Ah well, better call my cousin in France. Tell him we’re coming for a long visit.”
Thanks @Luiluix, @YellowZR1 and @Philipp! Just checked again, can confirm both are in the game, but the second one is cut short in the final game like @Philipp said.
The only other cut dialogue I’ve been able to find so far on Marrakesh has been between the shoe shop owner and the military. The line about Sato Sebastian shoes doesn’t exist in the final game it seems.
Cut dialogue starts at 00:47.

Neat, there’s a few things I think I never posted about or posted on other threads, maybe I should make a new post for it not so super interesting though
@TJGM Working on a new video?
Wanted to finish a video for each map wayyyy earlier this year, but never got the chance. I’d like to document what I can in video (and hopefully in text at some stage, might try to get it on a wiki) before I move on from the alpha stuff.
Love to hear it! Subscribed w/ notifications on already so I’m excited to see it whenever it may come out!
So I said I’d post about a few random things, here they are:
Cannon model for Paris, also used in the diorama, likely used for the cannon kill before it was cut, it can also be seen in the placeholder Sapienza briefing in the ruins
47's "version01" model, used in the Absolution sequel prototype, the suit was also used for a bit in the early days of Hitman 2016
Jackets some of the Sapienza guards used to wear before they got scrapped
And a few in-game pictures showing those jackets in use
Cut model for the morgue doctors, though it is still present in the files and on their outfits, it is missing textures, rendering it invisible, but can appear in instinct
Placeholder materials were used to make it appear in-game
And a few other things:
Marrakesh soldiers used to wear helmets (textures still in the game)
Army trucks used a more standard green instead of desert camo
This Marrakesh NPC has a unique scarf model that didn’t end up being used on her outfit
Front view of early 47 heads found in the Alpha files (somewhat in order)
Early DeSantis head next to her current head
And why not, little view of the cut rat food from Sapienza
