No I’m wondering, how is this game on base PS4 now? Is it “safe” to start playing it now? I can cope with few bugs/gliches but too many would just ruin the game for me and would annoy me to the point of me breaking the disc in several pieces and that would be the end of Cyberpunk 2077 for me.
i would at least recommend waiting until it’s available on the ps store again. that’s probably a good reference for how playable it is
Okay, so it’s still missing? Didn’t know that, then yes, it’s probably best to wait untill it at least are back on there.
To piggy back off of @EvilGeniusRo.
A leak has happened regarding upcoming content for Cyberpunk.
- Ripperdocs Expansion
- Body Shops Expansion
- Fashion Forward Expansion
- Gangs of Night CIty
- Body of Chrome
- Rides of the Dark Future
- The Relic
- Neck Deep
- Night City Expansion
- Expansion Pass
note: these aren’t the titles for upcoming DLC’s this was confirmed by CDPR but are most likely placeholders/Codenames since Cyberpunks server space on Epic Games Store has since been expanded upon recently to prepare for future content.
these Codenames give us a clue to what is in-store for Cyberpunk 2077. Before we see any big expansion we should expect various quality of life improvements and the potential for a New Game plus which this game needs these improvements most likely will be implemented through DLC format.
It isn’t a focus perse, but put on the back burner. They want to make their future releases have online capabilities and assuming this approach a game as a service model for its online component.
Atleast that’s how it’s been interpreted.
Agreed, I can’t fathom the idea of playing this game with other people, I feel the game would fall apart.
I’m waiting for the Next Gen version before I jump back in. Hopefully we end up seeing that within a few months from now.
I concur.
well, i don’t wanna sound like that chick who said ‘if you’re homeless, just buy a house’, when it comes to AAA game design/ production we’re all noobs.
CDPRs goodwill has definitely taken a severe hit with upper management releasing the game before it was properly finished. But, I think the focus should be solely on single-player, patching stuff, and adding cut content to make the game come up to its original fruition.
There are rumors, that CDPR has dropped the idea of CP2077 multiplayer, and that’s good. But the approach to split resources to make 2 games parallelly, eh, isn’t sounding nice.
Just focus on CP2077 going full throttle with your resources, give everyone proper time so there are no crunches and the content is deployed soon.
Patch 1.2 is nice no doubt, but for me, i’m ready to wait for more till the game improves on a fundamental level, addition of cut content and some DLCs come along.

Man the 2013 version showed great promise! You can see your character in 3rd person (which was the intended way, later on it was FPS only), interaction with the environment and NPCs looked nice as well.
Now, 6 months later, psst, hardly any hope for revival atleast for this year i guess. I’m not expecting something big from E3, cuz the graphs they showed hardly revealed anything about the type/ scope of DLCs and release dates.
The game is missing a lot of basic features, mid game character customization, prosthetics/chrome, etc. as for quality of life the game needs a NG+ as well.
I kinda forgot I still had it installed . Think I’ll check what differences I can notice without reading the patch notes.
I checked out the update. Some good quality of life changes, but I have complaints as well. These are coming from the Series X version.
Pros:
Character Customization
Fixer Rewards
Map Changes
District Apartments
Various Bug and Stability Fixes
Rebalancing
Cons
Update Reset Perk Points and Armor Mods ruining builds if you don’t remember where you placed them.
Washed Out Lighting and Visuals
Note: This can be “fixed” with proper HDR Adjustments and Ray Tracing. Unfortunately to the average player this isn’t something they will go out of the way to do
Traffic and Pedestrian Simulation Breaks Down
I’ve noticed this on the CDPR Stream and in game, but when any shooting/action is going on the simulation between traffic and pedestrian numbers go down making the world look empty
Fixer Rewards are Broken for non Vehicle Rewards
Will redirect you to your apartment, but no rewards will be available
Johnny Silverhand Poses
I understand this doesn’t necessarily harm the experience, but they are locked behind two sequences to where they are locked upon completion of said two sequences
Overall the update is a mixed bag, it fixed a lot and added quality of life changes that are great additions. CDPR still has away to go, but it’s a massive step in the right direction. Unfortunately nothing with the update for next generation consoles feels next generation. While it’s a more polished and consistent product it still echos its release from the previous generation of consoles.
Unfortunately going forward I do see Cyberpunk 2077 being abandoned of sorts for last generation consoles. While they will receive the larger pieces of content that being expansions and the micro DLC’s released so far. The reality of things is due to the outdated hardware the systems run on changes to core systems like the a.i or an overhaul of sorts for police and gangs doesn’t seem doable.
Going forward I’m gonna take a long break from Cyberpunk, my hopes are that once all planned content is released between DLC’s and Expansions with all bugged fixes pumped out I can see it in a new light.
I’d say the update is good to try out the game now, but it still has a long way to go.
Hi folks, one of my friend is a fan of Witcher series and is planning to buy Cyberpunk but still he is confused and skeptical about it.
He is fine if the latest patch makes the game a standard one. He is more doubtful on the performance of Saints Row recently. There are words around that a recent game leak is better than Cyberpunk 2077 or Saint Row
So, if you have the game, did the latest patch solve these?
what platform is he on?
he is in playstation 4
it’s better than it was… but it ain’t great.
plus, now they got their money, they’ve decided to focus updates and the expansion on current gen only, with future patches for old gen relegated to occasional hot-fixes.
Seems the marketing for the new expansion is rolling out, just got this in a YT ad.
Now, I don’t play C2077 (though I’m curious about how CDPR is fixing it post-launch), and damn, let me tell you, I don’t know if this rings true at all, but it’s quite the impressive bombshell to end your trailer with the line “So go ahead and play… Just don’t forget, the game is fixed.”
That was pretty good.
