I enjoyed this quite a bit. I like the Deluxe and Sin content, but I’ve been getting tired of the disguise and loadout restrictions, so it’s nice to play something with those options available.
And Dartmoor looks good in the sunshine.

The fact that every other way to get up to the second level is also missing makes me think it’s not a mistake though. If the shortcut was the only way to get up that balcony, it would penalize players who hadn’t unlocked it through the original map version. If they were going to enable that balcony as a sniper spot (despite the picture saying otherwise), they’d have left at least one of the pipes in place.

They could add a regular ladder there instead of a shortcut ladder to solve this problem

First impression:
Good stuff. The level looks very pretty and the gardens each look stunning in their own way. My favorite is the Japanese garden since it’s so relaxing and the pavillion looks cool. The lighting really does this level a lot of justice. Never knew I needed a sunny Dartmoor until today.
The gameplay is very basic, which isn’t bad per se, if only some of the targets weren’t so hard to kill. Most of the targets only got one real kill opportunity (that is if you don’t lure them to a secluded area). This made it more fun to find the right opportunity, but isnt that fantastic for future replays. And like said before the mansion is 99% inaccessable which is a shame.
Judging by all the work done by IO it wouldve been better to turn this into a special assignment. Not being able to save is 1, and it being an escalation kind of takes the value away from how fantastic it is. Now it somewhat lacks personality. Contracts mode is a big step into the right direction however.
Rating this a 7/10. Could use more varied kill opportunities and personality. Gotta say its better than all the other post launch content so far. Keep up the good work IO

I played the escalation and here is my opinion :
This is a very good level but I don’t understand why IOI always make Escalations : Deluxe content was escalations, Seven Deadly Sins only add escalations, and even the Seasonal Events are now escalations (like this one, even if it’s permanent, but also the Easter event in Berlin). In H1 or H2, Seasonal events were real missions (Christmas in Paris or Snow Festival in Hokkaido).
So yes, the level is good, the targets are quite unique, unlike other escalations, the level’s redesign is good but for me, this level could be better if it’s a normal Bonus mission, at least like the Special Assignements in Miami or Whittleton Creek.
I really want to know why IOI only makes new escalations, maybe it’s easier to make new escalations rather than new levels I don’t know.
Also, the problem is that you can’t save your game so if you make a mistake, you have to restart all from the beginning of the level.
It seems like IOI doesn’t want to make new levels anymore, even in already existing maps and it’s quite disappointing because even if I like escalations, I don’t enjoy them as much as the main levels or even the bonus missions in H1 in Sapienza and Marrakesh.
Is there other people that share this opinion ?

The upper levels of the mansion aren’t accessible? Lame. So it’s a mini contracts map?

The game has a sniper rifle in the guard tent. They would not put that there without adding some kind of high ground or vantage point. This is intentional; the ladder being impossible to break is not, so either they’ll fix it server side, or they’ll push an update to make a generic ladder.

They said why, multiple times actually, that it allows them to experiment with new mechanics and ideas. And so far, that hasn’t been a lie. Even the tutorial escalation is something new.

Anyone know if the surviving contestant can officially “win” the garden show?

It happens when you crouch down and up really fast. Since the bones aren’t tuned to not move (or have minimal jiggleness), they act as if it were suit cloth.
I am totally lost with the stage and the Branson Mic. Can anyone enlighten me as to what it is for?

It’s to kill Sato. The Branson MD2 can be switch out with the normal mic, after doing that you need to turn up the AMP and wait for Sato.
