Dartmoor Garden Show

I nejoyed playing through this. The atmosphere is awesome. Pretty chill and relaxed. Plenty of opportunities for accidents and also good use of all the exterior zones of Dartmoor.

Mighty good for a basic escalation and ecan see potential in it for contracts mode.

Ah, I think I forgot to turn the amp on then as he kept just walking around and then walked off. Thanks, will give it another go now.

I like how this level has the score from Whittleton Creek.

And it also has the Wilson Property music.

I wonder which judges canonically die

Really fun en nice “mission”. I like the randomiss of which target to eliminate. The only critic that I have is that Cornelia, Sebastian and Lucy wear the same clothing as in Dubai, do they never change there clothes?

How did you get in there?

They dress them in events only🤪

So easy…

Suit Only/Silent Assassin
100% Ghost Assassin
No HUD
No Instinct
No Coins Used
No Distractions Of Any Kind
No Emetics Used
No Items Used To Lure Targets
Fibre Wire Kills Only
Both Bodies Hidden In Crates

Not A Single Huh? What? Hmmm from anyone :slightly_smiling_face:. Agent 47 out :smirk:

Cornelia Stuyvesant taking notes on the gardens:

But actually studying a Safety Protocol concerning the civilian usage of military aircraft :astonished:

I guess the animation (or at least the clipboard) is reused from the ICA facility. Do all clipboards use this texture?

I was really looking forward to this and I loved it!
The map rework feels just like a bonus mission and the gameplay plays like multiple elusive targets at once.

Just finished the 3 levels SA and gonna do the challenges and explore more on the possibilities and the whole contest thing now.

I wonder why there’s no intro and explanations, though… I know the background story because of the trailer on youtube, but in-game you just land in the contest without context.

I agree with every single point you’ve made there. The tl;dr version being the Dartmoor Garden Show is a good thing, glad it’s in the game and it’s the best of the non-base game H3 material so far, but there’s still headroom to make things better by simply re-purposing this as a Special Assignment, let alone making a genuine bona fide bonus mission. Good job, IOI - let’s keep improving and get some “Great job!”-s going forward.

The one thing I’d add is that I really like the Suit, very happy to have this in my inventory as an option for places like Sapienza, Miami etc.

Has anyone discovered yet whether or not there’s ever some sort of announcement of the winner?

I only walked around so far and must say this is a great thing. I rarely play the actual map missions so this is all I wanted to see for a bonus mission.
Dartmoor was always my weakest contract map in H3 so the Garden Show got unusually close to it, other than it is for Sapienza bonus missions for example.
What I noticed is that clearly money was saved in new voice lines. Most visitors are silently enjoying the gardens and the company of each other when I would have liked them to have more chats. I think that is what I will miss the most in the future here.
Also, the usual weak point of bonus maps, the sole starting location. This will pull down all contracts made here but since that is a usual thing, it is not too bad and expected.

Well, it’s great.

The map is well made, smartly reused assets in the right places, new ones in all the others. And it’s a lot of others. I have to give a special mention to the greenhouse, is is just pleasant to stroll through, reading everything. There is a bunch of new diologues to catch, some references to the main story. (Edit because I forgot : squirrels ! They’re cute, 10/10 content just for them)

The map can be very easy (and fun) if you bring the right items. But if you are doing it with the default loadout/no item then the map shines. You have to track and find the car batteries, the poisonous frogs (a geat idea to put them, especially for what I though and said could have been made in the lust escalation), the emetic flowers… Same for the challenges, you have to find a way to find a bodyguard disguise for the sniper and the remote explosive and that’s a multiple steps task.

It is good to have a public, social map. The map in non heavily guarded and lets you observe, plan without pressure. It’s a good time. (in retrospect, that was a bit missing is hitman 3 until now)

So IOI, kudos to the artists for the map, kudos to everyone on scripting for the randomisation of the escalation and the open way deterministic start works. So kudos to you all.

Also if anyone is looking at the stage with electrocution envy :

The branson MD-2 Microphone is in the white van near the entrance, the mansion staff can place it and Sebastian Sato is using it.

Are you asking because of the Branson MD-2?

Kind of. I’ve found out how to kill one potential target with it, but was wondering whether any of the others ever take to the platform to announce the winner.

I don’t think they ever do.

Cornelia Stuyvesant also references the Dubai map and her father assassination (she tells Gulshan Yazdani that his garden makes her uneasy and “brings back bad memories”). The map exists in the same realm of the Elusives Targets.

Why did IO decide to bring back a “Take a photo of…” challenge? These never complete like they’re meant to… :frowning:
