They must fix contracts Mendoza, can’t wait another month
What in H3? Are they? I’d say I’ve heard mainly praise over these levels not saying they’re not perfect, I have my own personal issues with all but that’s neither her not there. But worst in the franchise? Nah
Outfit is pretty tight but the items are simple reskins. Most of all happy there is new gameplay coming. The other deluxe editions were a lot of fun so I’m stoked for this one as well.
All the items in Deluxe are going to be reskins. Which is a tad unfortunate but seeing as Deluxe is supposed to be optional side content then it makes sense IO not adding anything truly unique in it
Yeah that’s true actually. Still, the weapons we got so far are pretty good if I may speak for myself. Devil pack should’ve included the FN2000 but alas, gold smg is also cool
Level 1 was ridiculously easy, not more to say there
Level 2 was again nothing special it’s a shame you can’t get SA, but I enjoyed the hungry blade complication. In the end it was a lot of running and mashing attack tho
Level 3 was better imo made you have to be a sneaky ninja, but unfortunately it was painfully small and not a real challenge
All-in-all not a lot of content and also imo it commited an escalations worst sin, not building off previous levels in a meaningful way. I’m sure IO did the best they could with a very linear train map tho
First time: Really liked it a lot. I like how it did things differently from other escalations, especially “Hungry Blade”. Thought it was really inventive and unique, even if a bit small. Honestly it would be one of my favorites.
Second time: I liked it a bit less. The ideas are cool but I wish they were a bit more expanded upon. It’s clear the linearity of the map is holding it back and while it is really cool to see it in a different iteration, ultimately it just felt like a segmented version of the main mission, just with a few tweaks. I still like it, but looking back, “one of my favorites” might be a bit too generous?
Still, I’m glad to see IO experimenting with ideas and being more inventive. I just wish more escalations had this much creativity.
I didn’t hear that Need to reset the whole thing now
Completely agree. Well done to whoever made it, it was by no means paint by numbers (i.e. nowhere near a contract). Great ideas held back by the structure of the map
Did the second level of this but when I killed the target at the end, it didn’t trigger and the blade ran out of time (The Blade Rests). I’ll have to try it again later.
The first level is nothing, but then again it’s there to introduce you to the idea of it. 2nd level is awesome, 3rd level starts off cool but then it ends! There’s needed to be at least three more carts of sneaking around, slowing building up the NPC patterns and challenge.
I still need to play it myself but I kinda expected to see somethign like this:
Start as the regular mission. You have to reach the front of the train but instead of killing Constant you have to kill the white ninja sniper on the roof with the Katana. He attempts to shoot you whenever you are on a train roof. If you stay on a roof for more than 10s he deals a lethal shot.
one of the most creative escalations yet. every level is a different “mission”, which i think is so interesting. very creative and i think that idea could be expanded upon somewhat
in my opinion, this escalation shows just how badly Romania needs a bonus mission that is more sandbox-y and completely redoes the visuals of the level.
it was super cinematic, especially at the end of Level 3 where the Overseer is sitting at her desk with a gun and a shotgun next to her. but also the end of Level 2 where you have to shoot the guy was really neat, dodging the signs while trying to kill the guy
i hope they can build on this concept. i know some people think this map can only forever be a linear kill-fest, but imo i think this escalation shows that it can be a bit more than that
What would fit into such a drastically different map is a bonus versionn which is only populated by civil NPCs. Maybe only one guard that has to deal with everything that happens there.
