What?! I was always under the impression that they can actually get away and end the mission.
If that’s the case, then I only needed the one banana and no emetic pen. I can make this even easier.

Exactly. I mean I probably haven´t tried it after the 3.70 patch yet, but I doubt it´s been changed.
I bumped into some guides a while ago (and posted the links in this thread as well) that mentioned that they indeed escape by heli if the pilot is conscious, but as Ochoa mentions, he always directs them to the parachutes anyway, so that´s why you got my curiosity there. I would prefer if it was like that, especially if they patched in the possibility to make the helicopter go boom mid-air.
So, to be clear, they do escape, but not by helicopter; the pilot directs them to the parachutes whether he’s there or not? Is that how it is?
Exactly. He tells them that they´re not ready to do an evacuation and tells them to use the parachutes instead. One would think it´s maybe because he lost the keys, but sadly there´s no option to give them to him, regardless of the disguise.
If the pilot isn´t there, they just stand there for a while in the same manner as when he is there, and then just run for the parachutes themselves.
Good to know; that just made it all simpler. All I’ll need is to pick up 1 banana and bring my knife. The rest is child’s play.
So where did you use your one banana? Maybe we can also fix that
The staff member who holds the access keycard in the to the control room. You need that card to change the appointment time between the partners without alerting security. Unless there’s another card that does that, hidden somewhere that doesn’t require any kind of knockout, then that one needs to happen. But, even that is ok, because in-universe, one person slipping on a banana peel is a lot more believable than two separate ones, allowing the whole affair to retain credibility as entirely accidental, to the KO and the two deaths.
Is it possible to use a disposable card/scrambler for the server room? I´ve been meaning to try whether the card reader goes up if you have that but not the keycard itself, but haven´t gotten around to it yet.
Even if so, I wouldn’t want to use it. At least, not for this kind of playthrough, where everything must be perfect and appear accidental. The disposable scramblers short out whatever you use them on, much like disabiling the security system. In a perfect accident playthrough, it’s better in-universe for people to assume that the guy who slipped first used the card on the device but can’t remember why or what he did with the card after he hit his head by clumsily slipping on a banana, than for an investigation to reveal that the system was actually damaged because somebody else did something to it. If I’m going for a pure assassination playthrough, then there’s no real concerns with flat KOing the guy for the keycard and stuffing his body in a box. But, I’ll give it a try next to see, just in case. Never know when it might come in handy.
Anyway The scrambler does work instead of the key card
Dubai is better than Paris.
There could have been SO MANY fun variations with that chopper.
Plus the already in place parachute options of cutting the cords or shooting them as they glide and the fail mission option of them just getting away
Indeed, it could’ve been an amazing mission. Alas, it is merely a good (almost great) one
I’ll go you one better: a cutscene kill where 47 throws them out of the chopper!
Oooh, no, better still: he aims his gun at them and tells them that he’ll shoot them both, but if one of them throws the other off, he’ll let that person live. Ingram then grabs Stuyvesant by the front of his shirt and tosses him out of the chopper and says, “there, I did it,” and 47 points his gun at him and says, “so you did,” and Ingram goes, “you said you’d let me live,” and 47 says, “I lied. I just had only one bullet,” and then shoots him in the head.
(Borrowed that one from Penguin in season 1 of Gotham)
Just tried. It is usable on the reader, but you still need the keycard to make the reader appear in the first place…
I like the 47 tosses them out part. 47 can lie if it is what he needs to do to get the job done, but I don’t see 47 taking pleasure in watching 2 people struggle with the mental and then physical conflict of “do I turn on my partner to save myself, do I let him turn on me to save him?” It’s more cruel than just death.
Unless he really did have only one bullet. Plus, he’s subjected people to more cruel deaths than messing with their sense of hope. On top of all of that, it’s two of the Providence Partners. 47 was taking a bit more personal than usual.
I love Dubai but I wish we could wear Muslim garb. I was so excited because this is the only level that takes place in the Middle East in WoA.
Morocco is in Northern Africa but they are culturally similar to the Middle East. In Morocco, we got to wear a fortune teller disguise and the Moroccan kaftan
But most of the disguises in Dubai look Western. The only one that looks Arabian is the penthouse staff outfit. I love the guard uniforms but it doesn’t really fit in Dubai. The mission takes place at an expo and penthouse so why are they wearing militaristic uniforms?
In the announcement trailer, you could see the elite guards were wearing Muslim clothing. I think you can still see the old guard robe on the security footage in Dubai
I wish they would bring Sheikh Salman Al-Ghazali back. Maybe he could be at the outdoor bar area instead of Sebastian Sato. It’s sad that we can’t wear the Sheik disguise in Dubai
Also, what about the Emirati traditional clothing with the white keffiyeh? Please let us wear it
I legit didnt realize his route took him in there if this is still in the actual level
I am a hudge fan of Middle East culture so when I heard about Dubai will be a one of next location in Hitman 3 I was so execited - my thoughts was like “Yes! after Santa Fortuna there for sure IOI add native speakers!”… .and they didn’t.
I understand that Dubai is a Hub for foreginers but c’mon… Guards and staff who speak with pure british accetns? That fact murder whole atmosphere. I was very dissapinted where H1 didn’t have any native speakers at all, but after H2 i had hudge hope.
Hitman has been always for me an immersive game at first place, so music, dialogues, native speakers is something that bring that tension and immersion - Santa Fortuna is a perfect example. Even Changqing where some part of NPC have chinese accent - do the work.
I just can’t belive that they didn’t add arabic accents at all! But that is not a only one thing what makes Dubai a quite poor mission if comes to immersion. Let me point out:
No Bisht outfit, we can’t use that outfit from NPCs (why?)
Recycled background music from H1 like bar music from Marakesh or Ave maria in radio in islamic country! WTF IOI?
No big ceremony, no event, no specjal situation which could make this mission shine - like fashion show in Paris, Techno party in Berlin, Club music in Miami etc - that location is just bland.
A lot of empty spaces just like in Paris or Bangkok. A hudge loction wherehave could have be a lot of going on, like a small casino, restaurant, some luxury spa, maybe some art gallery presentation - anything. There is no even one thing that could make this mission memorable.
Lack of items all over the place it highlights how that location is empty
Top floor where is nothing going on at all
Why there is no Sheikh Salman Al-Ghazali?
I love level design of Dubai, but from immersion perspective it’s a hudge dissapointment
