Elusive Target #3: THE COLLECTOR (Year 5: 7 - 16 March 2025)

Always hide the bodies no matter what while playing ETs.
Better be safe than sorry

If I only hadn’t panicked chasing him into the changing room and jabbed him with the poison instead of snapping his neck, then I surely would have gotten SA. :sob: Stupid guard heard my crimes and came in before I could hide the body. Oh well. He’s dead. Only got 2 stars tho. :expressionless:

Fun ET, nice gimmick of changing disguises, the only thing I didn’t liked about this ET is it took too long to find him, when you start the map he’s nowhere to be found, had to wait him appear with the guard in the reunion room.

Sound advice for sure, but I just thought it was funny that had I been quite literally five seconds quicker it would have been an easy Silent Assassin.

Depends on where you start. As I said above this ET was extremely easy for me because I happened to start as a garderner and use the greenhouse pickup, and BOOM he’s right there in front of you.

No. He always starts at the greenhouse independently of player’s position

I was replying to someone saying he is hard to find, and I said that depends on where you start. I know where he starts, that’s the point.

Was ever so slightly disappointed that there was no dialogue between the private and the wildlife investigator - I guess these buddy cop partners understand each other without words:

I haven’t played the et yet but

Better ET with disguise change gimmick?
  • The Stowaway (Jimmy Chen) .
  • The Collector (Kody Haynes) .

with jimmy the disguise change is a free kill opportunity, with kody ive seen multiple people lose him when he disguised, due to his guard being an enforcer to quite a lot of disguises

Where can I find a knife in the mission?

Never mind he literally had one on him

You can also use the Letter Opener on one of Carlisles desks, that what i did

Surprisingly there is only one kitchen knife on the location, and not in the kitchen.
In Zachary’s room

That was a fun ET! Not too hard, got SA on my first try. But it’s also a typical target that I wish I could play more than once. Would love to try different approaches. Loved that ET, don’t love the concept.

Thanks to your sacrifice, I used it for my attempt.

Knowing he would return to his vehicle once he thought he was safe, I was ready for him.

The Collector and I never even saw each other.

I prepared some propane, and I left an RFID coin for him to find by the painting.

If he never went for the painting, he’d be alive. His death was on him. #Greed

Voted for the Collector, because it was very obvious who Jimmy Chen was despite his gimmick being that he was changing disguises. However, he’s still one of the better ETs.

That said I’m still angry, that I failed the new ET because the game didn’t tell me that he can change outfits. Now I know how the people felt who failed The Fixer.

I played the Collector yesterday, and it was so good that one day later I wish I could replay it (I know that’s not that point, it’s just that this particular one was so much fun) - does anyone else feel the same way?

Absolutely. My two biggest hopes for the WoA in the future are (1) for the Offline mode to be fully featured so that the game is properly preserved once the servers are switched off; and (2) that at that time, all the ETs we’ve ever had are permanently made available to play and replay at will in the game.

Silent Assassin, suit only, white shadow and masamune kill.

I have mixed feelings with this target. It seems he won’t move to the painting until you follow him and hear he want to check the kitchen (where he will change disguise), he will eventually go on his own, but it takes way much time. So I choose to kill him immediately.
