Elusive Target #34: THE FIXER (Year 6: 27 March - 5 April 2026)

I’ve said it around them several times! I don’t think they’ve ever responded though

Them doing finger guns is their only redeeming quality

EEAAASSSY MONEEEY

:point_right: :point_right:

On a related note, does anyone else do finger guns in WoA? Because I’m sure there’s at least one other person.

This is pretty much the only benefit in running the fixer now, because I too am legitimately curious on the failure rate for this one. I will be very surprised if it’s more than 50%.

Yup, off the top of my head

  • Marv Gonif does finger guns at himself in the mirror, as said above
  • Dawood Rangan, particularly during the photoshoot opportunity
  • The “Noodle Moodle” guy in Chongqing does finger guns at the staff after he finishes eating, just before he goes home (I love him so much)

Pretty sure Xander was the first though! (He also does it at the receptionist before he leaves the consulate, and maybe when he gets back although I haven’t caught him at that exact moment, unfortunately!)

I always quote Noodle Moodle guy whenever I start making noodles. Really fun to say.

I need to follow this guy around more.

I’ve killed him almost same way as @thrison did, but I’ve used new RFID Taser. Very proud of this kill because I’ve came with it independently on @thrison 's video.

@Combatglue do we have the stats of how many played, failed etc…?

I know it’s been published in the past, I’ve seen it and for the sake of comparison, it would be neat.

My run took about 50 minutes because I had accidentally got the consulate on alert which led to Strandberg being escorted over to the school where he sits in the upstairs office (the room with the safe). The target obviously follows him over there and goes in the room also where it is impossible to do anything to get him to move. Coin? Wasn’t interested. Gun on the floor in front of him? No effect at all. Activating fire alarm? Nah, he didn’t care…

Had to pacify nearly half the upstairs to be able to isolate him!

Haven’t played this ET in 6 years! And missed it when it came out early last year so I finally did it today and as much as everyone dislikes this ET it’s a nice refresher from playing the same ones over and over again.

hopefully they can add him back fully sometime seeing he’s one of two we don’t have full access to

Easy

if you start as a waiter just remain in the spawned position of wiping a table. At about the 240 mark the target walks in, I went into the back staff area

once they finished talking I bumped into target he looks at you, allows the courier to leave, I used a durian, you can use coins but L1R1 just dropping it won’t work. Lead him to staff area easy kill put in crate.

durian follow to bathroom drown put in crate, be mindful of the woman who comes in.

head to school, subue the guards near the pipe that leads to school headmaster, the guards split immediately subdue the first by oil drum, run to the other walking towards the end and subue and drag along the stone wall, drag the first guy to that same spot, do the same for the 3rd guard.

At about the 9 or 10 min mark the courier comes up the stairs, I used a sedative injection he drops the diamonds. Blue Easter egg works or subdue and run down the other steps by shopkeeper to exit

Easy SA

this is the most failed of all time of all elusive targets in the history of the game.

going after the courier is dum, he senses if you are near. You have to wait because if you get him before all diamonds are collected you fail.

But he only comes to the school once he has all diamonds

Oh yeah, that reminds me! @IOI_Artjoms, back in the Year 5 run, several of us asked CombatGlue to look into the statistics of how many people Beat/ Failed the Fixer; a mission notorious for having an extremely low completion rate (23% back in 2016):

We never got an answer back then, but I was wondering if you could ask the devs/ server people/ whoever is in charge of that sort of thing, to look into it. Hell, since Galore is going on, I think people on here would be curious and interested to know the rate of completion for all the Year 5 Elusive Targets!

The Blackmailer most played? Surprising! I found this ET very unremarkable.

@IOI_Artjoms Speaking of things we never got an answer about, The Fixer is still the only (non-celebrity*) ET that was never offered in the Arcade, probably since it was on a “no re-run” list until after the Arcade stopped being updated with anything besides celebrity ETs. There’s a bunch of discussion above about it, with several pings to Combatglue that went unanswered. It would be nice to have every (non-celebrity) ET accessible in the Arcade.

IMO The Deceivers might be one to pair it with, as that’s the only one that only appears with non-optional complications (The Clichés and The Dyads both have “restricted loadout”).

* Counting The Wildcard as a celebrity ET.

The reason The Blackmailer was the most played ET was due to it going live in January 2017 which coincided with the physical release of HITMAN: The Complete First Season on PS4 and Xbox One, which brought in a whole new wave of players.

I know this ET has a bad rep but I greatly enjoyed the run I had just now. My aim was to have no emetics, no KO’s (except for the courier of course), and suit only, and honestly the mission felt like an honest to god Hollywood movie. That everything went smoothly greatly helped the matters. Patiently following the courier around, sometimes losing him in the hustle and bustle of the market square but his red cardigan soon set me on his track again, watching him retrieve the diamonds, following him to an ally just before the school where a carefully dropped briefcase put him out of view for the KO-hide in the container routine. I took the risk of picking up the diamonds, so no restarts from there on in!

Entered the consultate through the parking, and when I noticed that the target becomes Strandberg’s shadow I used the same method to kill him: wait for them to come into the side office, bump into the target to create some distance with Strandberg, and strangle him when you’re alone in the room with him, hide in the cupboard, sneak out the way you came.

Doesn’t sound like much but it was an exhilarating ride! The reason why I love this game so much. And this mission really captured that thrill well.

Does it? Why?

It caused a great deal of frustration with the many people who failed it. It includes some insta fail conditions that were never seen before and some elements in the briefing and events in the mission looked deliberately confusing.

@IOI_Artjoms

Since he comes back this week.
May I put a good word for an (exceptional) new Elusive Target Arcade containing:

  • The Fixer
  • The Deceivers (without a restricted loadout)
  • a third target of IOI choosing

In hindsight, it feels like no arcade was made containing the Fixer because IOI wanted to forget about him at the time, in Year 3.

Since he later came back (by community demand, in Year 5), it could be appropriate to integrate him into the game mode.
And it will give a way to safely train into it for non-PC/Peacock player.

(my completionist heart that will stress itself out this week-end will thank you)

(as for the Deceivers, it’s in two arcades, but both with restricted loadout that burns its fun and re-playability, I feel obligated to integrate them in, it’s a recurring wish around)

How about the Chameleon without a Suit Only requirement?
