Elusive Target #36: THE INFILTRATOR feat Bruce Lee as your partner (Year 6: 25 March - 26 April 2026)

Nausea could make someone stop, but it might be confusing having two kinds of emetics.

What about a device that lets you call their cellphone? That’ll stop them dead in their tracks in the middle of a busy train station as people try to dodge them!

And then lets you electrocute them? Ha! Just kidding… maybe.

Not a Speedrunner but a Speedwalker run.

Since No Pacification is a challenge - added more complications.

Fugu Puzzle is awesome.

Next attempt: SONKO No Loadout - Kill all 4

Finally completed the mission on SONKO (Suits Only, No Knockout) and No Loadouts. Additional complications included No Bumping NPC, no Door Block, used 2 coins, letter opener and the gun from hotel. Only the 2 coins were lost and kept the letter opener and gun as it was. 47 must kill all target and Agent Lee must not be poisoned by anyone. Here are breakdown :

  • Roland Chau – no items required
  • Xiao Hu – 2 coins and letter opener
  • Xiang Zen Weisheng – Gun for distraction (Fugu Puzzle)
  • Jiaolong Wu – 2 coins (and battery)

Mission completed felt like beating a fromsoftware boss

The mission could have been done in 15 mins, but to honor the legend, I spoke to him and watched his fight.

Found some observation:

  1. Zen will not take the Fugu if the Chef is on the counter (this would have saved some mission time)
  2. If Agent Lee is talking with 47, he won’t be disqualified if he is late for the fight
  3. The balcony stairs are having some issues where Zen goes for some time (and also the adjacent balcony)

So I have 3 questions:

  1. If I fight as Cuthmore, can I give up a match? (Not against Bruce Lee, but against anybody)

  2. If I somehow prevent any of 3 contestants from participating, do they poison Lee anyway?

  3. More as an observation than the question: If Lee is poisoned, I don’t have to provide antidote - I just make sure his opponent doesn’t show up, and Lee miraculously heals. Am I wrong?

  1. No idea I always get wrecked on the ring lol
  2. If you manage to KO / kill all 3 before they talk to Lee, he’ll never get poisoned (they can still poison him when they talk to him between matches even if they never fight him though)
  3. Yeah he somehow recovers when he avoids fighting the 3rd target

  1. Not specifically but you can just choose not to show up
  2. Contestants only poison Lee if they see they have a match against him. You can see them checking the board for this every so often. You can actually stop them poisoning him before their fight by switching them last minute so they don’t see the match coming.
  3. The description for the poison when you pick it up says that it wears off with time. I think I once scheduled Lee’s match to be the very last one and the poison had worn off by the time he was actually called to fight. Try that at your own risk though :p

  1. I tried that, but the master of ceremony was waiting for me for ages! The contest never continued, I went browsing elsewhere, but they just stood there waiting for me.
  2. My question was: Not that I kill them. Not that I KO them. Not that I block them from approaching Lee. I just ask, if I managed to block them from competition, so their name is crossed on the board, and they are alive and well, will they still try to poison Lee?

Additional question:

  1. Lee is poisoned. I am dressed as Cuthmore and doing my matches. Bruce complains that he was poisoned and that I should step in. Can I step in for him if I’m in Cuthmore’s robes?

How do I find out the names of NPCs, contestants? e.g. Helen Peng, if I want to find her and prevent her from contesting, how do I know which one is her? Same question for all NPCs

I did answer that. As I said, they only poison Lee if they see they have a scheduled match with him. If they’ve been eliminated from the competition for any reason, then of course they don’t have a scheduled match with Lee (or anyone!) and therefore do not poison him.

They also only poison Lee if they have the poison in their inventory.

Which does bring up a question: When I tried this, I used the Kalmer to tranq them which of course doesn’t void silent assassin on targets. Does the game consider them “proper” targets and fail SA if you tranq them with say… a syringe?

No, it doesn’t. I used a syringe on Roland to take his poison, and used a banana on Zen to get his poison, and his antidote to use to counter Xiao’s poison, and then had them all be found so that they could all fight in the tournament. Nothing voided.

Anyone know what song(s) are playing on the radio that distracts the fugu guy that Zen talks to?

Wait, really? That’s odd. I think I voided SA once when planted banana for Xiao and she fell, and didn’t really question it. Thought the game treats Concord fighters as proper targets so I can’t arrange accidental knock outs for them.

Maybe there was some other factor. Or perhaps that was something IOI fixed.

A couple more ETA no loadout runs while this thing is free.

Level 1: The Bartender
Pretty unsuspicious win: poisoned Lee vs poisoned Roland (notice the subtle animations they both do), sober Lee vs sober Xiao and fair fight against Yu Lei. Also Xen kicked the bucket from that fugu fish early in the tournament - shit happens, he was the one who insisted on it. Worst person of them all anyway.

Level 2: The Judge
This one’s suspicious and totally rigged - all the targets fighting each other. Lee was still poisoned, so had to pull the bullshit DQ on Helen Peng. Originally wanted to kick her for being a slow ass (it takes her the longest to get to the mat), but she just barely made it in time. Then rushed through the fights without breaks, before any of the Concord fighters could handshake my boy again.

Level 1: The Captive
SASO accidental kills for the fighters, and the same buggy captive “kill” for the old man.

Level 2: The Drunken Master
Imagine waking up naked, with a hangover, and people say you kicked everyone’s asses in the tournament, but felt sick in the final.
Wanted to banana trap Xiao before Lee’s fight with Roland, so I can grab the antidote with her card, but didn’t think it through - her fight was just before. That stupid no restart trigger already kicked in, so had to change back to 47 and stand-in for Lee, which kinda defeats the purpose of using Rory’s disguise. Not exactly how I wanted it, but already wasted too much time on this to do it again.

P.S.: Tested a few times, accidental KOs of the Concord fighters did turn my pistols red if the bodies were found - tried banana and sedative pills. That’s a shame.

It’s the same deal as proper targets - only tranquiliser darts (and, I suppose, a piano KO) will preserve it.

Target tripped on a banana - “There’s a killer on the loose!”

Target has a giant dart sticking from their head - “Eh, must be some kind of new fashion.”

Yeah, that’s stupid logic-wise, and even more stupid gameplay-wise. One time where there could’ve been a niche use for consumable sedatives - it voids SA for no reason. Y’all might disagree with me, but I’d make tranq darts void SA for any NPC if the body’s found.

The thing is, if you’re going to do that, it’s 99% of the way to saying you might as well just remove them.

I’d go the opposite way: leave the dartguns alone, slipping on stuff shouldn’t void SA. Consumed sedatives are often useless on targets for getting a disguise and really only good for getting something off of them when you plan to kill them later so they probably don’t need to void SA either.
