My only self-imposed rule would be to get it done in one attempt. I’m guilty of restarting mission a lot and I feel it breaks immerision.
I’ve only played Paris a handful of times; just main and side mission, no escalations. I started in the basement and spent a while exploring the area. Don’t think I’d been there. Made a good move and took out the cameras.
Took over an hour of searching before I found where the target was. Probably violated a lot of other people’s rules by sedating four people. And I had to run from some enforcers who found me suspicious, so I knew Silent Assassin wasn’t an option.
The last time I tried this (in H2), I ended up blowing up the entire room.
This time, I mistook a proximity concussive device for its remotely-activated cousin, placed it in my briefcase, and got knocked out moments after Diana finished her introduction. Dressed as a Guru, no less.
Ah well. This ET is my bête noir, so it was rather appropriate in a way…
I’m not “team no restarts” by any means so once I figured out where he was I was able to achieve SA with relative ease by sneaking my way up there. I think I’m one target behind getting the Blood Money suit on my Xbox account so here’s to the next target arriving!
If you’ve completed the Black Hat Elusive Target and did not receive the Tuxedo with Gloves, we will add it to your profile shortly after the mission expires.
The challenge is in the game now and will unlock properly for anyone that hasn’t played it yet.
When you’ve played this twice already, there’s not much to do. I’ve killed him with an axe and pushed him to the catwalk during Sato’s speech, this time he just got some lead.
I was determined to figure out a way to poison him in plain sight, but getting him to eat immediately took a couple of days figuring out all the micro-triggers. Not quite SONKO, but here’s my Chef Only, No Knock-Out run.
Same here. Now that it’s dragging to its deadline I wonder if I should just get it over with but for some reason it feels more like a chore. Blasphemy, I know.
Nothing looked amateuristic about your video, man. As a casual who can’t pull off gun lures or doesn’t have the patience to set up massive explosion chain kills, it was really cool.
I can’t help but think you were lucky there… It seems like the running speed for panicked NPCs can either be fast enough for 47 to keep up with them, or they can really book it! (with no trail of flames, unfortunately).
Edit: But, I guess if that were the case, you could’ve still thrown the axe.
I have two accounts, one to do a first try, then my “official” account. First try was a complete disaster, i got caught trespassing in the attic and of course it lead to a massive improvised bloodbath with lots of head traumas and shots in the dark.
The official one started much better, disguised into a first floor security agent then a waiter, then a black tie agent and finally the last room before my target… which lead to another slaughterhouse but at least i got him, i spared his acolyte. Mercenary rank. At least i got the suit.
Well, here’s my runthrough of the Black Hat I never posted. Killed the target while on the phone with security. I’d say that’s fitting for a hacker like him.
Would have done it earlier, but I had some high ambitions to edit this video into something cool. It never panned out.
I wanted to overlay some of the voice-over from the Mr. Robot TV show, and despite finding a huge repository of it, editing out the music and organizing relevant clips was too much to handle.
So here’s a compromise instead. Music from the show, with some edits.
