Elusive Target Arcade

Good. I need a lot of those to be released with different complications. Basically, no security footage and no casualties are the only complications that I can work with. Maybe one KO and one disguise change for a few select ones, although that second one needs to be reworked so that putting your staring outfit back on doesn’t count. Maybe the no firearms or only headshots ones.

Playing and replaying Elusive Target Arcade is a big reason why I continue to launch H3 despite 100% completion almost everywhere.

The best sets are definitely the ones with 5 targets - they have quite a few that I considered to be lame before (e.g. Paparazzo) and now I finally managed to open them up from a different side and try drastically different approaches without fearing that I have only one shot.

And I am glad complications got fixed - they don’t feel overbearing now, although sometimes I forget they even exist and get a 12 hour ban :joy:

My playthroughs also differ a lot playstyle wise - when I had ET with just one chance, I grinded SA no matter what. Now, I feel free to fuck up whenever I feel like it - throw remote explosive at Gunrunner’s face, smash The Prince with the bell, denazify the Revolutionary and his goons with AK - some things I’d have never tried if these missions were still ET, not ETA.

And out of complications (after one per set fix), the only one I didn’t like was “Erase Camera Recordings if Recorded” - it doesn’t affect anything at all. At least “No Civilians casualties” had some lore/roleplay idea that could be used for set playthroughs (and for 12 hour bans for venting on random civilian).

“One KO only” was the one that affected gameplay the most, because it did push me to be as efficient as possible and I really enjoyed replaying the set because of it.

All and all, this mode is coming into the shape and I definitely like it.

@Travis_IOI Please, vote The Bad Boy (Best S1 ET) and The Pharmacist (the most underused S1 ET) back in the future if you have a chance. And how bad is Sensation now that we have Emetic Devices, does he have a chance of coming back in one of the sets?

And thank you so much for bringing the rarer targets back - The Surgeons and The Broker deserved the assassinations too

IOI removed the Kill conditions on him. You can kill him any way you like.

They are not. TS6 was converted from PS4’s 2016 files manually, which must’ve been a ballache and a half. There are some odds and ends, but no audio files or the other good stuff in H3 for TS6.

Sorry to pile on… :joy:

…but that exclusivity agreement between Sony and ioi means Sony owns that content. So it would be up to them if it were ever released on Xbox and (officially/no mod) PC. And they have zero incentive to ever do that.

And exclusivity agreements for content never expire. You’re thinking of timed exclusivity (which does have an end date).

In my latest playthrough of “The Deceits”, I weapon lured Father Adalrico Candelaria, aka “The Prince”, to the hidden cave below Villa Caruso where he met with an unfortunate lab accident. Obviously even holy water couldn’t provide sufficient protection.

Dammit, why can’t I get the weapon lure right?

When you place the weapon, as soon as the person sees it and turns to leave (to tell a guard) puck it up and start running to where you want them to go.

Works better if you pick it up in front of them and then start running but that requires more practice for the timing/to not get caught.

Do you have to run for them to go there, or will they still follow you if you walk? What do they do once you get them where you want? I need to prepare if I wanna use this method to get Bayswater and Newcombe into the wine machinery in Mendoza.

They will follow you if you walk, but it’s better to run because you don’t want them to catch up with you before they get to where you want. When they get close to you, they’ll tell you something about putting the gun away and then they’ll return to where they’re supposed to be.

Eh, I can make do with that. As long as I can then distract them into the machinery, I’m golden.

Ah you talking about feeding “The Revolutionary” to Franco’s machine in Santa Fortuna?

No, although now that you mention it, that’s not a bad idea, or even the cement pit at the construction site.

I was wanting to lure the Iconoclast to the grape press and/or the freezer, and the Heartbreaker to the grape crusher and/or the wine vat, respectively.

using this makes elusive targets so much more interesting

I think the opposite. It’s just another coin glitch lure like it was in hitman 2016. Makes the challenge of the puzzle broken. But hey, that’s me. lol

Broken… or having more pieces than the box says?

(I don’t even know where I’m going with that euphemism)

I’m just of the old school mentality where you earn something. Not given. The gun lure glitch is a free kill just like the electric phone. It makes the game too easy and as it is, it’s already so easy. It’s just more to watering down the challenge of the game.

It’s literally “hey game, I’m having trouble getting the target isolated or somewhere I can’t do on my own, so I’ll use a glitch to get them.”

That’s the way I see it.
