I think it’s both it was for the last time they used this comp
Did we just meet? At what point did I ever make it seem that I’d accept less than SA 5 stars?
Personally, I decided I want to SA all ETAs with 5 stars just for the fun of it, so for me aswell 4 stars SA is a no, btw, it’s weird that there are so many ETs you can easily cheese with the fart case, saved me a huge headache
If you aren’t going for 5-star SA, are you really Hitman-ing? /s
Edited to clarify sarcasm.
I only dont go for 5 stars if im doing the arcade and its a objective i dont complete when playing for routing and video purposes
btw Heisenberg i changed my profile again the second time
Yes. The existence of other ranks besides Silent Assassin means that all are viable ways to play.
Some of the ways I commonly don’t get 5 stars include: Not caring about accidents, absolutely refusing to wear specific outfits, changing into a disguise when I’m not supposed to, and refusing to use the specific weapon.
I’ve learned to live with it.
Personally, I play the “explosive only” contracts (Bombastics and Thespians) as I do the sniper assassin challenges.
So, 4 stars, but the spirit of the complication is here. Still, it is with purpose, and looking at the right location, the right angle. Much more fun than making some convoluted silent assassin strategy. With a special mention if I manage to do them with the RFID coin
Fun Arcade batch. The only one I had to stop and really think about was killing The Entertainer in an explosion, otherwise previous strats were able to be used with some minor tweaks (or not at all in case of the no disguise change one).
this is my new favorite thing, ty IO for giving us this unlock
Well, that’s nice, but some would like to aim for the highest possible ranking and would like to do it in style, which is extremely difficult when Arcade contracts keep including ETs with the same or very similar restrictions in place. There are other things that I’d like to do to play around with some ETs, like the Chameleon for example, that would require me to take disguises, and see if I can still get a perfect score. But the two times it’s been released has had limitations on disguises, making any chance of me doing so either impractical or impossible until it releases without any complications that would interfere. Same with the damn Deceivers. IOI needs to stop releasing ETs in this mode that are only available a couple of times and are excessively restrictive, especially those H1 ETs. We’ve got almost every combination possible on the H2 and H3 ETs, use them for really restrictive complications; let the rarely seen H1s have complications that give. Ore options in at least one contract, and then go extreme. It’s seriously getting irritating.
@Raisu, did that void SA or did the slip allow you to somehow keep it?
Beautiful! This gif is the first step on my [long] journey to stop being mad about the nerfing of the Molotov.
With the release of The Entertainer in The Thespians, he has become the first ET from Hitman 2016 to have appeared 5 times in Hitman 3, tying him with The Revolutionary and The Serial Killer.
Would be interesting to test since it might fall in the realm of tranq glitch potentially if the Molotov explodes before the KO animation is complete.
But in this specific instance, you can see other NPCs getting burned so SA would’ve been lost anyway.
Well, I have unlocked a piece of fruit.
Since the objective is optional, and since you know that a resulting 4 star silent assassin ranking at the end means you would have achieved a “perfect” score if you had fulfilled the optional complication, can’t you just extrapolate that you would have gotten 5 stars without that complication? Why do you need the actual screen at the end to tell you it was perfect if you otherwise already know that?
Think both work, but it’s much more simple to do the ‘Explosive Device’ kill.
I just threw the explosive red duck at them and detonated from a distance
Because my OCD wont allow it.
Sometimes I am really glad that I abhor competition and don’t care about scores. It’s so much easier to be completely mediocre.
Completed The Thespians ET Arcade Contract. It’s easier than The Tregetours.
Only drawback, unless you know where you’re going in the House Built On Sand level, you will get lost finding something to explode Mr. Giggles. I got lost for quite a while until I realised where the propane flasks are and what disguise I need to wear to take out the target. I got lost for like 20 minutes. The good thing, explosive devices or propane flasks counts as explosions.
Don’t ask me to do The Tregetours. Any ET on the Colorado map sucks. Even the lack of disguise changes makes it even worse.
