Given the time frame, they would get significant backlash if they didn’t include Yoda in some form. He’ll probably be a cameo instead of a main character, but it’s a given he’ll be in the show somewhere.
Maybe. I can’t speak for anyone by myself, but I have never cared what attitude or opinion the creator of a show or movie had. The movie/show stands on its own regardless of the personality or intent of the creator. I, for one, think it’s somewhat refreshing that the creator is taking the stance of “I created this thing that I wanted to create - it’s not important to me if you like it or not.”
Good position to take generally? No, probably not, but I can respect it nonetheless.
I do think it’s an awful approach to alienate potential viewers right out of the gate. We don’t need to add fuel to the already divided fanbase. They need everyone and people outside the community to be excited. Let the media talk for itself. These comments are just giving certain parts of the fanbase another reason to hate the show, before actually seeing it. Star Wars of all things, doesn’t need more controversy.
That said there is no fanbase I hold a bigger disdain for than the Star Wars fandom, it’s a toxic cesspool.
It is for anything that has a fanbase. And it doesn’t exactly do Disney any favors especially now since they’re pivoting towards less risky projects across all their IP’s after these last two-three years of projects that either failed or was received poorly by general audiences and critics resulting in them losing their a majority of their subscriber base in the process.
Exactly this, I want to be excited for Star Wars, but I want reasons to be excited. We’re getting too much live action Star Wars that’s consistently not good or mediocre at best that not all of us, but a majority of us need X Reason on why I should be excited for this project after seeing Boba Fett be basically anti Boba Fett by the man who made Desperado and sitting through glorified cameos that take you out the experience in Mando Season 3 which already has been a very rough season as is or see Obi Wan go on a really long side quest where the goal post keeps on getting pushed for a few hours.
It is and it’s why I don’t acknowledge somebody these fans cause their arguments will borderline into bigotry and they’ll go on tangents about how “woke culture and Kathleen Kennedy ruined Star Wars”. Meanwhile the problem with the Brand stems from an over reliance on throwing things at a wall hoping something works.
I’ve gone on record that Animated Star Wars is some of the best content you can get out of the franchise. While yes Clone Wars was rough in the beginning and Bad Batch Season 2 is as enjoyable as chewing cardboard for most of its episode. Tales of the Jedi and Visions are consistently enjoyable. When it comes to Live Action it’s as simple as Mando Season 1 and 2, Andor, and parts of Ashoka being enjoyable (I only say parts cause I never watched Rebels so I didn’t have that draw to the series like most people).
I find it “interesting” to hear the different views from other people on the content that has been put out within the Star Wars universe. I don’t think there has been any content that I haven’t enjoyed, save the animated stuff (which I forced myself to sit through).
Book of Boba Fett? I liked it.
Ahsoka? Liked it.
Obi Wan Kenobi? Liked it.
Andor? Liked it.
Mandalorian? Liked it.
Sequel Trilogy? Liked it.
Prequel Trilogy? Liked it.
Original Trilogy? Liked it.
It truly is, The Clone Wars helped elevate the prequel trilogy. The Bad Batch is doing the same for the sequel trilogy, but just like its predecessor it also suffered from Saturday morning cartoon fillers. But when it gets going, it’s strong and engaging.
I loved Tales of the Jedi, Visions season two I found awful all around. It lost the Japanese twist that made it unique.
Like Clone Wars, a bit of a rocky start. That said prefer it over Clone Wars. It’s my favourite animated series in the franchise.
There is no Star Wars content I hate (visions s.2 could actually be something I hate), I enjoy it all. Some more than other. There’s is always something I enjoy. Even if they are not all created equal.
That looks pretty fantastic. It says original shorts so are they gonna be non related? I hope so! 6 or 10 standalone stories of 45 or an hour each would be super fun.
If it manages to be as engaging and entertaining as Tales of the Jedi. Then I’m more than sold on this show, the trailer by all means looks phenomenal.
Looks like it could be good. I really dislike the main characters little space doggie
though. The last Star Wars game gave the player a tiny droid that always follows you. That part feels the same only this one isn’t metal.
Is it a space dog I thought it was a space axolotl
I have no idea what it actually is. It’s a pet, and it’s useful. So just like the fallen jedis tiny droid.
Trailer has Jabba in it, this is officially the best piece of Star Wars content of recent years
That’s a lot of glitz and glamour but where’s the game.
Your eyes can deceive you. Don’t trust them.
With May 4th coming around. New Merch is being Unveiled.
Hot Toys has new premium figures. This time pulling from Legends material and I just hear my bank account hurting.
Yeah, so I’m really looking forward to the Outlaws Game. I really, really hope that we can freely explore Jabbas Palace and other Syndicate bases, not only in Cutscenes.
Except if you what the full Pizza The Hutt experience you need to fork over that sweet sweet season pass clams.
