Favorite Locations for the Board Game

Hey everyone!

This is our first post here, but we’ve been snooping around for a very long time. If you don’t already know it, we’re making an official Hitman board game together with IOI. The campaign preview is already live on Gamefound, but we’re still in the middle of developing the game. We’ve revealed 3 locations for the board game this far: Paris, Hokkaido, and Sapienza.

We already have things in the pipeline, and we’re eager to share them. But one thing we know is that the community knows best. So we want your thoughts on the locations. What are your all-time favorite locations that you think should be included in the game?

We’d really love your help shaping the game as we get closer to campaign launch. We’ve already seen a lot of good comments on the campaign page, but we’d love as much feedback as possible! If you haven’t seen the campaign yet, it’s here: https://moodpub.co/hitmanforum

We can’t wait to hear your thoughts!

(Paris, Sapienza, and Hokkaido being already announced)

Also the forum ran a few competition for best location / best missions.
The one you announced were at the top.
In addition, Miami won.

As for personnal opinion:

  • Miami again.
  • Dartmoor would be a fun play of a “clues/cluedo” board
  • Berlin is unique in the WoA trilogy, and more than deserving.

My favorite location is probably Sgail but Miami and Dartmoor would be amazing additions to a Hitman boardgame.

How many locations are you considering to add?

Great to see you guys on here, if you didn’t know we also have a general thread for the board game here:

I’ve been keeping it updated with your Gamefound posts.

Funnily enough just recently I was wondering what are the rest of the maps could be. I based my “educated” guesses on the three maps already revealed – 2 memorable targets each with a condensed yet complex environment within the same building/structure (Sapienza I figured is only mansion + biolab), and of course, some degree of: recognisability, distinction and iconic status

Based on those traits and the fact Season 1 is already well represented, the fitting maps from the rest of World of Assassination could be Miami, Whittleton Creek, Isle of Sgail, Dubai, maybe Mendoza… Then again, I might be focusing on the wrong stuff here, so really pretty much any levels or targets would be welcome! Maybe even some classic games could get representation as well, with iconic levels like Traditions of the Trade, A Vintage Year, Curtains Down :slightly_smiling_face:

We’re not 100% sure yet. Each one takes a lot of time to create because there’s so much artwork involved, the targets, cards, and the board all need a lot of attention. On top of that, we spend quite a bit of time balancing each map with the different targets, which is a pretty big task in itself
