February Roadmap - Initiation Protocol (2021)

I’m really hoping we do, there is loads of opportunities for Elusive Targets in H3 levels.

That would be such a waste if we didn’t get any new ones.

No new ETs, LOD and shoulder-swap never fixed, no change to ETs at all, no paid DLC like Patient Zero or new locations.

Only escalations, featured contracts, all ETs from Hitman 2 (or less) reactivated.

Maybe Bonus Mission or Special Assignments.

Thats what my money is bet on. When it launches on steam Ill be here and we see who won!

I love this game and IOI really delivered something beautfiul, but after following their patch and post launch support for nearly 4-5 years, you can see a pattern there.

Yeah there’s so much unused space ala Hitman 2016 in these maps. Like half of Mendoza you don’t need to go in.

@Travis_IOI like to see you prove them wrong :no_mouth:

You know, I could live without new ET’s. I mean, unless they give them some reasonable fix, there isn’t much about them. But I would very much suggest that IO gives new players opportunities to unlock all location uniqe suits. They could’ve done that by adding them as final reward for reaching full mastery, but it seems they’ve got lazy, or still have faith in them.
I hope in atleast 2 Bonus-like missions that would not look like Special Assigment, and maybe 2 NEW season missions that would later become permanent. Also, HSS and HH should’ve been added alongside last update, there is literally no reason for holding those back.

What is that again?

I was doing a random Hokkaido contract with the White Ninja suit earlier today. I started at the morgue, and while I noticed I always was on a Hostile Area, I didn’t know what to think of it. I thought the suit was hostile on the morgue.

Honestly, it makes an even perfect map even better. I hope it’s not changed.

Hokkaido Snow Festival. Sorry, wrong letter

It is pretty darn dissapointing to see that they’re holding HH back again, as well as the Hokkaido bonus level (which was a small, if nice surprise we got last time) and there’s also the missing Halloween escalation.
I get that they’re probably doing this so they have a guaranteed “new content” slot for those months, but its disappointing to see that that’s the approach they’re taking with it. Like a kind of “Animal Crossing”-esque style of release so they can add “new” content to Hitman 3 that previous entries had much earlier. (This time, there’s probably going to be an 11-month wait between launch and HH being added.)

It doesn’t mean too much to people who already have the Santa suit, but it’s too bad that those who don’t will have a lot of waiting until the Winter season.

tbh i can kind of understand this approach. these small bonus missions dont have the player count that the main missions do. being able to advertise them as “new” multiple times will only bring in more players to these bonus missions than if they had kept it in the game from the start

in the end it’s probably more of a net positive… more people will get to play the mission at the end of the day. and i dont think people are necessarily dying to play HH at the moment

Yeah, I get that this strategy might have some sort of an effect on sales or player numbers, but at the same time it seems like such a small thing to do, why bother?

(Not that I’m chomping at the bit to play HH or the other bonus levels, but it’s just nice to have them there to play when you want to. At least the fact that they’ve been removed from H3 suddenly makes them more appealing in my head…)

The more they can put on a monthy roadmap, the better it looks for them.

Hopefully they’ll spend a little time during the year to create a proper mission briefing for Holiday Hoarders instead of just the text-only one we’ve had for years.

Realistically I don’t see it happening, but would be nice to see the mission finally be “complete” since it’s either now or never.

I believe that 2021 is just going to be re-runs of old elusive targets and 2022 [Release on Steam] might have new elusive targets.

oh no I think you might be right

either way, one side gets screwed, the steam waiters or the current players

I really doubt they are letting a Steam release dictate their plans considering the two console versions, and the fact PS4/5 will outsell the others by a huge margin. I don’t know how many “wait a year for Steam because I loves it so” people are out there, but I doubt IOI plan their entire business strategy around them.

That said, wouldn’t be surprised at all if there is a “complete World of Assassination” release in a year or so, and that’s probably our best chance for meaty DLC akin to Patient Zero in Hitman’s GOTY edition.

I was thinking there would be a full WOA bundle at first too but idk, they seem to really like the idea of having it all under one game, maybe a HITMAN 3 + Season One GOTY Access Pass + Season Two Access Pass bundle, but again idk.

At this rate, the ET-related suits will be released under the form of DLC

I would guess it would be Hitman 3 upgraded to a “complete WoA edition” rather than a new game, like the GotY edition of Hitman 1. Who knows though, really.
