I don’t even necessarily want to mute Diana, just turn her down so she’s not overbearing, without affecting all the other in-game voices. She’s so loud over everything else that she can interrupt something I’m trying to listen to in-level (as well as my concentration).
Given the current “political” climate with as much emphasis as there is on things including abortion rights, LGBT+ rights, feminism, equality of the sexes, etc., the refusal of the developer to put in a “mute the woman” option seems obvious to me. I think they’d rather keep the voice actors, and the special interests which would be upset by it happy than to spend even a minute of development time on something like that.
Feel free to disagree with that, but that’s how I see it.
I don’t think it’s a “political” reason, but simply that the devs see Diana as one of the two main characters of this game. Why would they want to implement an option that essentially removes a character they deem important?
Wtf are you even talking about, you are literally seeing politics where there is none, we just want to mute or lower the volume on handlers, there is no component of this where Diana’s gender or politics about topics involving gender come into this. Are you feeling alright?
the option could work for when Lucas Grey and Olivia Hall speak too or say lines introducing targets if you feel the need to be so finnicky about it!
Sometimes you catch the train, and sometimes the train catches you. ![]()
Really liking how some of the blending spots that are normally purely aesthetic provide actual tactical advantage with all the enforcers walking around.
An attempt to kill syndicate leader with the light show in Berlin fails… in an even more awesome way.
Lol I had no idea things could get this broken, hilarious.
I was NOT prepared for this! ![]()
In the main missions, they implemented a timeout where after the handler says “THAT is…” for the main targets once, they won’t say it again for 24 real time hours. I think a toggle in the menu would be a better option though
I could see that being the case as well. They could simply have too much invested in Jane Perry so just delete her.
I don’t find Diana’s dialogue annoying in the main game, but it is grating on me a bit in Freelancer (for some reason) hearing the exact same lines over and over because in most cases there is only two or three variants for the game to choose. Even if they had just put in different takes of the same lines so there were more options, it would feel much less repetitive because there would be some small differences in the delivery.
Diana’s dialogue tree about to become the new “THAT, is yadayada”
I think it would be offensive to the voice actor if they were aware that the audience was given the ability to mute her. There are things in games that just isn’t good rapport, and that would be one of them.
Heads up and time saver: If you get Roberto Vargas (the golf coach in Sapienza) as a target, note that he doesn’t drink out of his water bottle for whatever reason.
You can mute the music. Didn’t hear any complaints from the composer.
You can remove subtitles, didn’t hear any complaints from the people who wrote them.
I shan’t go on.
Ok cool. Thanks for not continuing. ![]()
Ever? In the main mission, I believe he skips on some loops.
Was that on an alerted territory? He doesn’t drink from his water bottle on Master Difficulty. (Or he does and I was just always very very unlucky or simply not patient enough).
