My god!! Haha :joy::sweat_smile::sweat_smile::sweat_smile:

Bit of a random question but does anybody pick outfits according to the syndicate they go after? I wanted to use the odder suits more often and thought that the pumpkin head outfit with Organ Trafficking as syndicate kind of gives horror/slasher vibes. Are there any such combinations that you like?

PS: Might use the Greek Fire Suit for Arms Trafficking, since it reminds me of the Deadly Cargo target who was an arms dealer.

Played quite a few campaigns already. Never had this before:

Three possible leaders in one spot (they didn’t split)

Some more possible leaders here stuck together. Strange…

I’ve had that happen, usually only on Dubai. I had to bump them to get them to split up.

I’m always in either the Blood Money suit, or Signature Suit with Gloves. Sometimes I have the Winter Suit on the odd occasion. Either way, I never have 47 enter a location, or chill in the Safehouse without his traditional black suit

I don’t think I’ve ever seen this in Dubai. I saw it happen a few times in Paris, although that was ages ago and I haven’t seen that bug since prestige was added to the game (but now I do almost all my showdowns in Mendoza / Miami to expedite them so maybe it’s still there).

Dubai in general seems weirdly bugged on Showdowns, very small loops and very few areas for targets to be in.

I usually dress more for the location than for the target. Most times I wear what would be considered appropriate for the chosen place: a shirt/pants combo for Sapienza, a jacket for Chongiang, tactical wear for Colorado.
Most locations typically have 2/3 outfits that I change between.
But for syndicate targets or from time to time in normal missions, I either wear his signature suit or something that is a bit extra yet still fits the location: The Blood Money gold devil suit in Dubai/Sgail, Absolution suit for New York.
And then he gets a hoodie or something chill for his safehouse, for when I log off.

I am sad that we have 3 winter/snow related outfits, yet one map with snow and even that map doesn’t really rock the Tactical Winter Jacket outfit from the sniper mission :((

I’ll wear the variations of the signature suit anywhere, and most of the unlock suits I’ll wear anywhere, but the default suits that come with a particular map, I won’t wear their unlockable alternate versions (usually a gloved variant) to any other map except that one. I dunno why, but it affects my OCD if I were to, say, wear the gloved tuxedo in Paris to Sapienza, for example.

Seeing the question made me realize that I haven’t intentionally changed my outfit in Hitman since I unlocked the Tactical with Hat outfit from one of the Elusive Targets in Colorado. Prior to that I had been wearing the Black Dragon since I unlocked that as part of the Lee Hong escalation.

On the rare occasion that I had to wear a different outfit (always involuntarily) I would immediately change back to the Black Dragon or Tactical with Hat as soon as the situation allowed.

In short, no, I never wear outfits based on the location unless the game forces me to.

Personally these are my main suits I tried to put each of them in order for each map so the white tuxedo for Paris and so on and if / when they allow you to use a starting suit for Carpathian mountains I would use the polar survival suit

I don’t think I’ve changed out of the tactical turtle in Freelancer for ages :x

Usually I pick my outfits based on the maps, trying to pick ones that would fit multiple maps in a row if possible. Though I often use black bruiser for a bit after losing a campaign and signature suit with gloves for 4th showdowns.

I usually change according to campaign progression, and the kind of play I will go for.

  • Just lost a campaign? Tactleneck
  • Starting to get back on my feet tool wise ? Casual shirt or polo
  • Completed back a full campaign ? Ties are in order
  • Have just prestiged and in the ā€œcollecting weapons from the locations, comically exiting each of them with a weapon on the back, a briefcase on the left hand, and a saber on the right oneā€ first third of the wall ? Cargo pants and Shemagh

No… I’m wearing the suit I like in the current moment. Generally, the 47’s suit with gloves is my favorite, as it fits pretty well with the character.

The first time I prestiged, I didn’t really notice any of the increases in XP or Mercers. I wasn’t really looking for it, I was just trying to get started on knocking down the prestige challenges, so any of the increases to the amounts, like an extra 500 Mercers for Prestige Objectives, I couldn’t tell from how it was before I did it. The second time I prestiged, I didn’t start playing seriously, as I just wanted to again knock down the number of prestige levels, as well as have no items or Mercers to lose when I spammed failed missions to get those challenges complete.

Last night, I started playing Freelancer seriously for the first time since doing that, paying attention to my Mercers since I need to find or purchase a particular weapon to complete my objectives, and this time I noticed that the Mercers increase for Prestige Objectives at 950 on top of the amount for a given PO. This is cool to notice the actual changes the prestige levels do to the mode, as I hadn’t taken notice the first time and now that I’m at 100 Mastery, unless new Mastery levels are added (don’t do it, IOI!), I don’t need the XP increase. But, the additional Mercers will come in really handy in getting back all my items as I take the prestige levels up to 10.

A week or so ago, I got to Prestige Level 2 on my alt account, and used the Big Wipe as an opportunity to challenge myself and go for a Hardcore run.

I’ve completed Hardcore on my main (PS4), and it was obnoxious and frustrating and I definitely force-quit during my journey. I have nothing against force quitting, and am doing the same now on my alt — which isn’t as frustrating as this is an Xbox SS and the load times are so much faster.

Still, I’ve died a few times and haven’t gotten past the third syndicate yet. It is much too easy to get into an all-out firefight in under 4.7 seconds! Slowly but surely, I will complete a campaign.

My primary observation though is: Hardcore without any weapons or tools is HARD. Remember I prestiged then started Hardcore. The missions are so much more difficult when you don’t have a silenced Baller, lockpick, emetic grenades, dart guns, or tasers. Yes, I build up my arsenal a bit — but then I die and lose it all.

Don’t get me wrong, there’s fun in the frustration. The challenge is the point. But damn it’s tough sometimes. Especially with the damn Prestige Objectives! It is SO easy to lose Silent Assassin, and half an hour of progress…

This morning, starting the campaign over, I did the first showdown and had as my PO ā€œcollateral kill accidentā€. I narrowed the suspects down to two, who met for their secret agenda. I threw a propane where they would meet, waited for them, and when they finally looped back to their meeting, ran through them (alerting them and lookouts) and dropped a proximity taser at their feet. I never would have used such primitive methods but it’s all I had! It worked and I got out. Okay, 3 down, 15 to go…

Yes indeedy!

Also it’s quite hard to fulfill the ā€œepic pistol/assault rifle/sniper killā€ Prestige Objective when you only have common weapons and can’t make money fast enough to buy better gear!
