I agree, here’s what we’re still patiently waiting for, at least what I know of
Coin for Safehouse Xmas, Halloween & Easter Decorations for Safehouse Proximity Micro Taser for Main Game Fix for Dubai Helicopter sound in Safehouse Water Cann & Oil Cann for Main Game
Proximity Micro Taser for Main Game (to use in a few new contracts)
Water Canister and Oil Canister (could be fun for contracts)
and 5. Decorations (although I’m at Mastery 100 I’ve never changed any decorations, just don’t see the point in this) and Helicopter Sound (same as with decorations: I always just skip the leaving part of Freelancer, just start at the basement)
Imagine Christmas time, it’s dark outside the Safehouse, log fire on, Christmas tree up in the Safehouse living room and 47’s walking around in the cosy Christmas sweater?
I never was into this decoration thing. Probably never will be. I also really don’t care what kind of suit 47 wears (except if there’s some perk coming with it, like a special exit or so). Same with guns, just has to be a silent pistol and I’m fine with it.
Me too, except for suits. i like to change suits. But about decoration I really don’t care, because I never go upstairs. My objective is only to do missions and finish freelancer
I played the same Level 2 Syndicate Showdown in Ambrose Island three times, after hard quits/restarts.
I knew who the correct target was every time. In the first two attempts, “Arrange a Meeting” did not trigger despite getting the correct phone from another target and successfully placing the phone for a meeting. Neither when the target/suspects showed up individually, nor when I bumped into them a lot to show up at the same time (which, if that’s the intended way of doing this, is really stupid).
The third time, I chose to kill the Leader while they were headed for a meeting. I watched him carefully, he did the animation where he picks up the phone and then starts walking faster to his meeting spot. During that faster walk, I dropped a proximity duck at his feet. No Prestige Objective.
Anything having to do with meetings or killing Leaders during a meeting or an escape… forget about it. Not reliable or consistent or logical enough to choose.
I haven’t played Freelancer yet but after ignoring all the advice from experienced people I’ve decided to do a hardcore run for the suit. I see no obstacles to this
I have only ever satisfied this PO by arranging a meeting myself. When they’re heading to a real meeting, it doesn’t seem to count.
Whether that’s intentional or not, I have no idea. Certainly the wording for the PO is crap.
As for “Arrange a Meeting” - it’s absolutely buggy as hell. Completely luck of the draw as to whether or not it’s going to pop when you slap down a meeting phone.
Totally agree about meetings but killing escaping leaders is pretty reliable and not particularly hard with the right setup. You can bodyshot them with a sniper to trigger the escape then snipe them again and it will work all the time. Giving them a duck then panicking them will work too.
Here are a few changes that I think would benefit Freelancer:
In Normal Freelancer run you should have 5 saves per mission that you can use at any point
In Hardcore Freelancer you should get 1 save per each target killed in the mission
Prestige objectives shouldn’t be mandatory on Hardcore, instead there should be an achievement for those who passed Hardcore with the prestige objectives (while you wouldn’t be forced to take it, if you do, you must do it, if you don’t want to fail the mission/campaign) That way, people who just want to get the suit, or play Hardcore without the restriction of freedom forced prestige objectives bring, could do so, while the super hardcore players would have an achievement, to serve as bragging rights, I guess, since that seems to be really important to some people.
It’s completely bugged for me as well. I don’t even choose it anymore, when I play hardcore, it’s just too broken.
Sometimes, when the first phone didn’t work, I got it with a phone from a different suspect. But I also had runs, where I tried every single phone and it wouldn’t trigger.
You may have an unfortunate obstacle of needing to finish a campaign before you can start a hardcore one. Other than that, that’s a very respectable decision
