Very specific question:
Any suggestions to cause a “Burning Kill - Accident” on a map while maintaining “Silent Assassin - No Firearms”? As a side note, the targets so far have not been smokers.
I do not have full weapon cases yet, but do have full Freelancer Tools. Safehouse Level 37.
Sabotaging jet skis, motorscooters, cars, and trucks cause explosions, not burning (tested in story mode after failing in Haven Island). I mistake this repeatedly on various maps; vehicle with oil leak cause explosions, not fires.
Before testing in story mode, brought car battery (1 syndicate) and 2 tasers (another syndicate), after using wrench on motor vehicles, did not ignite their spilled oil. Someone on Reddit some time ago suggested breaching charge; I have not tried it yet.
I brought an oil canister in another syndicate, but found no Big One, shaman powder nor car battery in stashes so could not ignite it (cannot bring both a canister and a car battery, and no Big One nor shaman powder in Level 37 safehouse).
It seems I should not choose any of the “No Firearms” variety of prestige objective within Sick Games nor Eco Crimes due to the gamble on finding an ignition item in a stash? Each time, I’ve chosen to fail the complication rather than the prestige objective.

Concussive explosives can ignite oil too but the exact position of the explosive need to be tested because the explosion can throw the target off the puddle.
Bring the mini-taser disc.
gotta use an oil barrel or oil canister … then a battery, big one, taser, emp, breacher, etc. to ignite … another possibility would be the effigy in sgail or the data core in chongqing
I’d bring obviously the Oil Canister and then the Concussion Collectors Duck. Like what @Lindolfo pointed out, just be careful when you trigger the Duck to ensure your target doesn’t fly off out of the oil puddle once the flames ignite.
I will just add, if you want to be really cheeky:
If the target are attracted by a generator, you can spill the oil there. It will be ignited by the turn on sparks. Same as a propane flask. Be careful of the order of operation though.
It seems to me that the rewards for challenges like Employee of the Year, GOAT, or Top Dog should be an extra 2 or 3 slots in your Gear Capacity… maybe 1 extra for Strelok
You refer to using oil canister (or oil barrel if map has one) + taser?
(I’ve already tried taser + oil pool from vehicle)

Thank you for the suggestion, LandirtHome; I did not think generators sparked ignition of oil. I wouldn’t be able to use it if target does not respond to generator since if 47 turns it on with unconscious target, he’d burn too, yes?

No interactivity with the tub unfortunately, but it seems 47 has come to appreciate Atlantide water. Or he just snatched some during the missions. (Edit: Just noticed there already was a cosmetic with Atlantide in the gym)

Yeah, I thought I’d like the hot tub, but I really don’t. Its constant bubbling kinda disrupts the serenity of the setting, but if that were all I’d be ok with it. But that it adds more bulk of land there to accommodate the hot tub, which I don’t think was necessary, it’s suddenly changed the literal landscape. Add in the champagne bottles, and most of all, the torched (way too distracting), and it really isn’t as good an addition as I’d hoped, at least not for me.

What did you make of the changes to the Gym area in the Safehouse? I think they’re great!
Wish I was able to pick up the torches from the hot tub to bring on a mission.

I do wish the new weapons were somehow integrated with the cosmetics! I rarely play Hitman outside of Freelancer, so its not much of the new Vinyls I get to play with…
Next time theres a paid DLC that includes new weapons and gear, they should be implemented with the cosmetics. You choose to have the recording studio - theres a vinyl you can pick up at the recording setup.
You choose the firepit - the cane is leaning up against it.
Or they could have a new wall specifically for these items down in the basement.
I’ll happily pay for the DLC’s in support of the game and for the chance for more stuff to be added, but it would feel a little more complete if the new gear were part of Freelancer too.
