I really wish the dlc stuff was added to freelancer. The vinyl is easily my fave so far and i wish i could play around with it in freelancer!
Yeah I’m really cuffed with them. Think IOI have done a great job with them! ![]()
I’ve always said there’s definitely more space for more weapons in the Safehouse basement. An example, is the open space on the left wall…….

There’s easily enough space to have a full glass wall cabinet. You could include the Trinity weapons and extra weapons that come to the game as part of DLC packs, like you pointed out! ![]()
Anyone ever notice how the “Territory Takedown” or “Showdown” text rarely actually appears?
That’s amazing … i’ve still got 21 more to go before my Top Dog … but I’m at level 4125 and prestige level 9 … still grinding for prestige level 10
It only appears to me when I start a mission without bringing any gear.
Is anything from the new stuff for the Safehouse usable? Like can 47 play the guitar or bath in the hottub? ![]()
In case anyone is wondering (like me just now) where the aquarium is that you can see in the official screenshots: for some reason, it only appears with the orange wall paint.
I don’t really like them either. Not only are they not interactive, but it changes the gym, which at least has some interactions (and needs more). I think the recording studio setting would make more sense in the practice room down in the bunker.
To be honest, when people were speculating around The Drop getting its own DLC pack months ago, I thought it was possible that Safehouse decorations were arriving, so I thought it would be aimed at the basement area, which I’ve currently got setup as 47’s bar area.
I have got the new recording studio replacing the Gym area currently and I kinda dig the participation of the room, which now you’ve sort of now got two rooms in one if that makes sense? I also love the new aquarium addition ![]()
Hopefully soon we’ve got the massive Xmas tree in the living room area ![]()
No unfortunately, none of it is interact-able. ![]()
Still working on the most annoying challenge: Cold Feet. I usually just kill one target in my first mission and exit after this (leave one or two targets alone). But the challenge only counts about every third time. No idea what I’m doing wrong…
If I remember correctly, this was the challenge (or one of them) where you have to let the cutscene and/or the result screens pass by and not skip them for it to properly register and the counter to go up.
Thanks! I’ll try it that way next time. It’s just so annoying that this otherwise great mode still has so many flaws…
After making a loooonnnggg break (one year) without touching Freelancer mode since I’ve hit mastery level 100, I’ve recently played this mode again.
Since I don’t have to focus on grinding XP, this mode is more enjoyable, as I don’t have to try to complete kill requirements to obtain additional XP. During my last run, I didn’t pay attention to objective (even the prestige one). It was more funny to get rid of targets w/o respecting them (and less dangerous
).
Moreover, I do appreciate the preparation of missions, like preparing a syringe of lethal poison by yielding a mushroom, extracting poison, and preparing the needle. Or preparing the homemade explosive. Finding a coin in a nest to obtain a distraction tool.
This mode was already fun! But since XP is no longer an objective in itself, I can play as I really want, instead of driving my mission according to the objectives.
I been playing this since it debuted. I even deleted my profile once starting from scratch because some challenges weren’t popping up like burning man thinking it was a bug and my file was corrupted.
Very helpful.
So
I finally hit level 100.
The only remaining challenges in Assassination is 2 I’m 39/41
member 1646/2500 and leaders 138/500
Discovery is completed 6/6
Features I’m 51/57
the 2 campaign milestones 50 and 100 I’m at 38 total
and Prestige levels I’m on level 1 now, I have 3 5 7 10 remaining
so all of those will complete themselves as I continue the game.
Best part is now, I can pick very easy objectives
Arms Trafficking and Assassination are the 2 I usually pick after a syndicate block or campaign is completed.
So the light is at the end of the tunnel
I tend to go for the ‘Assassination’ syndicate as it’s more predominately themed around a Silent Assassin play style. Second choice, I would normally go for ‘Sick Games’.
Prestige
I forgot who replied to me few weeks ago about the rewards crate. Waiting until after going to next level then getting the coin for 60k trick.
So I jumped from level 1 to level 2
I’m at the beginning of another round of getting all the weapons.
I just began a new campaign and completed the
3 block and defeated the syndicate.
Then I didn’t open the reward crate
I jumped from level 1 to level 2 reset everything.
Then went to the reward crate and what I got was a baseball bat 4 common
I thought it would be a coin.
What did I do wrong? Should I have opened before reset to see the coin but not take it then reset an get coin?
You need to open the crate before activating prestige, but leave the coin in place and only pick it up after prestige is activated.
As an aside, I have found that if you’re playing Hardcore and Prestige after the final campaign showdown, it’s usually beneficial to open the crate afterwards since you have a pretty high chance of being given a >30K weapon.
On another note, I’ve noticed that when the game decides to award you a weapon in an in-level crate, it’s quite common that it’s rolled more than one. I completed a New York map and came out of it with 3 Rare pistols from opening up crates.
