So, with the rumoured inclusion of Freelancer in Co-Op, those who have played Hitman Sniper: The Shadows, know that Stone and Knight are part of the ICA hit team, who have been hand picked by Diana after being granted permission from the ICA to do so.
If they are both coming into Freelancer as part of Co-Op and given that is themed to be set around post Hitman III, I can only assume that Diana has recruited Knight and Stone as part of her own murder-for-hire Freelance organisation after the destruction of the ICA, given they were both originally picked by Diana when she was part of the ICA.
Iâm not happy about Knight and Stone, donât like these characters, they are very bland and generic. 47 and Grey would be much better. It doesnât matter he is dead according to lore. I think most of player would prefer this duo instead K&S.
To be honest after tons of missions you donât even bother with that. I can spot assassinâs from miles because how they act and move, not because how they looks.
Freelancer needs more new mechanics/new content/need options at first place instead of new cosmetics. At some point it start to be boring because how repetitive it is.
That same comes with weapons. It doesnât need another reskined models, but new type of items with new functionality.
I would prefer need type of variants how assassinâs act, instead how they looks.
This is s great idea. Even with only male assassins, they should have different guns. That way you donât know what assassin has what weapon.
I disagree with this, though. That would defeat the purpose of them. I play with mini map off and with the lookout awareness popups off as well and i hardly ever get hit against lookouts.
If ioi did this, then it would kinda make players go for that disguise all the time and ruin the lookout purpose.
It would also make it very difficult to identify who is and is not a Lookout while wearing that disguise, which could cause someone (me) to accidentally alert the Leader into escaping because they let a body be found by what seemed like a normal NPC.
Knight & Stone have had about 12 seconds of screen time between them so this could be an opportunity to flesh them out. They still have the potential to become great characters, whereas Grey has been firmly established as incredibly boring.
I agree Knight & Stone should be fleshed out if possible, otherwise they are kinda generic. Theyâre unlikely to get much in the way of storyline, but in-game dialogue would be nice. And maybe certain skills like they do something else instead of taking disguises (though that might be too much of a departure from the Hitman staples).
As IO seem to set a lot of their missions in places 47 has already gone to, itâs not outside the realm of possibility that young 47 and Greyâs missions together for Providence just happened to be on maps the game already uses. Though it could rob the game of its âmorally justified assassinationsâ thing itâs got going on, if the targets werenât targetted for their heinous acts
Having Grey have ominous one-liners with NPCs would be worth it though
I think the discussion about Knight & Stone should be happening in the thread for the Co-op mode as we donât have any confirmation this mode will be on Freelancer.
Anyway. Hereâs maybe an unpopular opinion: I really donât care about any story in all these modes (freelancer or co-op) as I donât count them towards the main story. They could even give me a generic NPC to play.
I have been saying this regarding the rumours of Co-Op coming to Freelancer. There is no concrete evidence as yet to suggest its coming and the objectives we see in the test run footage could very well just be objectives for Co-Op that are very similar to the objectives we see in Freelancer.
