Welp, that complication has worked like that in Contracts Mode forever, so its not really new.
I keep getting stationary targets that are in a middle of a crowded area, which either donât get poisoned by Sieker or donât react to distractions. And a lot of times I seem to get 1 target that repeats on some maps
.
Had a similar issue when I got a target in Paris who just stood by the Sanguine bar with a glass of wine and never moved. I also couldnât find a good Sieker angle, so I ended up just dropping a chandelier on her. Though that also killed a few bystanders.
Iâm probably gonna avoid SA objectives whenever possible when I make another attempt at hardcore mode.
Letâs say that then it would be appropriate to fix coherence. Ok, a body found is a body found but we canât ignore the context of the murder world. One thing is a body found with a bullet in the head, one thing is a body found because someone fell ill after eating. If in SA mode accidental death doesnât affect the NBF condition why should it affect in Freelancer mode? If the answer is that a body found is a body found (regardless of how) then the NBF condition should apply to all game modes equally in my opinion.
The freelancer is clearly bugged to death! dropping victim and being spotted from the next room is getting tedious now⌠Can freelancer be reset and wait until the bugs are ironed outâŚ
When bs like that happens I just Alt-F4. I mean, I try to ânot cheatâ, but I decided that if the game wants to cheat on me then I am entitled to do that. I consider such cases to be unfair:
- Very innocent trespassing resulting in deadly action and the voiding of SA in less than a second with no warning;
- People spotting you from very far through walls (example: Haven Island)
- Guards spotting you even if you sneak perfectly behind them
I threw a briefcase on the ground yesterday to distract a target & it put me in combat for some reason but I just ran away
When the actual objective says No Bodies Found, it means it. No bodies being found fulfilling a Silent Assassin rating, or the optional All Bodies Hidden objective in Contracts mode allow for accidents and poisonings to not count, but not the No Bodies Found. It takes its words seriously.
We still have a coherence problem⌠If the NBF condition is valid for not counting/affecting score when in SA mode and accident kill, why it counts in anorher gaming mode in another way? Not logic imho.
Because getting Silent Assassin and having no bodies found are not the same thing. Getting SA means no one can know you were there. An accident or poisoning doesnât give away that someone was there. No bodies found means no bodies can be found, no matter how they died. In Contracts mode, this has two settings; the mild on, which states that victims of accidents or poisonings donât count, and the harsh on, that simply says all bodies must be hidden. The one that appears in Freelancer is the harsh one. It doesnât say get Silent Assassin, implying no bodies can be found, barring the two exceptions; makes it clear that no bodies can be found, at all, period.
Sorry but I still not agree. If you look at SA conditions (bullet points in the specific page) you see âNo bodies found.â So, if the words are the same as in Freelancer mode, why I donât fail the condition in SA mode too? Not logic at all for me.

No bodies found means no bodies can be found, no matter how they died. Actually it doesnât really work this way in contracts mode. âNo bodies foundâ complication means that nobody can see a dead body that wasnât poisoned or killed by an accident, and that includes the targets themselves. For example, two guards next to each other are targets. With that complication, you canât shoot the first guard an keep SA if the second guard sees him dying. Without it, you can shoot the first guard, lose SA for a second, shoot the second guard and regain SA. Bodies being hidden or not does not matter, hiding bodies just makes them impossible to find (in most cases - there are exceptions, such as throwing them into the sea in Haven).
Itâs basically one of the components of H1âs SA that was removed from H2 when IOI made it possible to regain SA by killing the targets (the other component being âdonât get spottedâ).
This happens when you throw a briefcase around guards that are guarding a entry. This is to prevent people throwing a briefcase behind them to bypass a frisk, but sometimes the range at what they do this is a bit silly.
I had Berlin⌠Remembered the weird white Arctic Coat and itâs NOT in my suit collection.
Iâm probably in the minority but I feel Freelancer is half-baked and shouldâve had another six months in the incubator. Itâs so barebones.
Thatâs cap.

Would you care to say something of substance to justify that statement?
The game mode has been exceptionally well received and a great deal of work has clearly gone into it.
Anything can be iterated on to improve further. No reason to make perfect the enemy of good

I got her as well, and before in the CTT. You can dress as a waiter and use the poisoned cocktail method on her that you normally use on Novikov in the main game (no need for the recipe), since sheâs standing next to the blending spot and gets a âserveâ prompt.

If you fail, you still lose money and tools, but if I take a sniper rifle to Sapienza with 4 targets only to find out theyâre all indoors, I should be able to store the sniper rifle and not have to carry it around the whole level. Itâs dumb.
I disagree. You keep what you leave with. That makes sense. If you forget something or donât put the effort to retrieve it, you should lose it. And thatâs the whole point of preparing and not knowing whatâs ahead of you. Working on the fly.
Failed a hardcore campaign just 2-3 more missions prior to the final showdown. Wonât be doing hardcore for a while, itâs so frustrating.
Used about 10 times of Alt+F4 for the second last showdown in Dubai. Target is at the atrium bar, 47 spawned in backstage of the art exhibition. Three prestigious objectives are: (i) SASO; (ii) SA no firearm; (iii) Timed disguise. Even getting a waiter disguise is tremendously challenging so SA given up. Sniped the target after figuring it out her identity in previous ruined runs. Canât imagine completing hardcore mode campaign without Alt+F4.
