Freelancer - General Discussion

So you all know, you can pay a taxi in Mumbai with the Collectors Coin. I tested it. And you keep it. IO probably did not bother to have an exit cause items to be taken away from you.

The canon explanation is clearly 47 subduing the driver after reaching the destination and retrieving the coins from his uncoscious body.

It’s BS that proximity devices don’t work with unconscious bodies.

Anyway, I died.

Another random trick I just thought up… you can make campaigns go faster if you fail all non-alerted mission on purpose, just go in and leave. There’s no penalty except another mission will become alerted, which you have to complete.

I suppose it’s a legit way to complete campaigns something like 30% faster.

My headcanon is that after the ride 47 negotiates down the price to zero by giving them the same icy stare he gives the tailor.

Proximity devices are activated by motion. So if you throw an object like a crowbar near the proximity thing, then it should trigger.

All of the challenges I have left at this point are focused on Syndicate leaders. I may end up intentionally aborting the non-showdowns just to get to those 4-in-a-campaign critical levels.

When in doubt just shoot the proximity bomb. Surely that counts too.

Anyone else constantly have a devil on their shoulder saying “go on… throw your best sniper into the water. It’ll be funny.”

I think the real trick for leaders would be to stumble upon an easy showdown and to “farm” it by shutting down the game and re-doing it again and again, but y’know that’s up to everyone’s conscience.

Another trick not everyone might know. You can bring back empty water/oil canisters to the safehouse to have them refilled. This way you can reuse them without needing to get another one.

I haven’t said much about Freelancer, but it’s an awesome mode and re-ignited my passion for the WoA. I really enjoy how the Gameplay doesn’t revolve around getting SA all the time, it allows for a freedom i haven’t felt in a long time…

Freelancer is almost Codename 47-esque, i love it.

Google “call of the void” - I guess you have the video game equivalent right here

I experienced this big-ass bullshit today.

Target was stuck inside of the wall. Tried distractions but nothing. So I was forced to trigger an evacuation by exploding a FE next to a guard. Got out by an inch in a messy firefight. All of my objectives fucked in the last minute. Dumbass bug.

‘Twas a proximity taser, and no, shooting it did not set it off.

Walking up close to it did though! Whoopsies!

Got most of the achievements - just waiting on ones like crack 100 safes, kill 500 leaders, 2000 members or whatever.

Oh and that natural poison ones. Just keep aiming for whittleton or mendoza for the showdown - then planning accordingly whether or not they have the foodie/dehydrated tell.

Just chilling, enjoying the game.

Just had exactly the same situation on Hardcore 3rd syndicate :upside_down_face:

To say I was tense is to say nothing. But managed to get through, had a “Sniper Kill - Epic” Prestige Objective. So many assassins and lookouts, had to take my shot 5 ft away drom the exit to shoot and escape immediately :upside_down_face:

Where was this? I recently experienced this in the Berlin club. I was not so lucky to get away.

Had to make the target panic to get them out. A burner phone alerted them in the Picture-in-Picture, but they couldn’t move to where I had set it.

Definitely something I need to try after throwing all my explosives into the water in Sapienza.

Berlin, bikers’ hideout. In the space between the corridor where one biker is burning stuff in one of the furnaces and the small bathroom.
