Am I the only one with this issue? The Ornamental Assault Rifle describes itself as having a silencer, but the item properties don’t show it as suppressed.

Found a new annoyance: the ā€œDoors Stay Lockedā€ objective fails in New York if you unlock the button to open the vault. Like, really? I understand the objective to make it more complicated by having to bypass locked doors. But there’s no other way into the vault! I haven’t gotten this objective enough yet to really understand what counts as a door and what doesn’t. I can unlock the deposit box to get the vault keycard, and that’s fine - but apparently not the vault itself. Fortunately robbing the vault is worth more than the 1000 Merces from completing the objective.

And one target was in the Vault Security room, too. Normally there’s no way in there without having to unlock a door. But at least IOI added an extra NPC to Freelancer who goes in and out of that area and opens the door for me!

It was already like that during the CTT so I suppose IOI either forgot to add the silencer or forgot to change the description :x

I brought the Jaeger 7 Tuatara with me on a mission, it never spawned in my inventory in the actual mission, and upon mission completion I lost it from the safehouse and needed to rebuy it back

Yeah that kind of thing happens far too much for my liking. I’ve already lost a few snipers and a katana this way (thankfully it wasn’t that hard to buy them back but still). I think it has to do with the delay with which your inventory will get ā€œupdatedā€ upon starting a mission - now and then I see the initial inventory item changing from the phone to a tool or a gun upon starting a mission and skipping the cutscene. I think the losses happened whenever I tried to open the inventory, or add an item to it, immediately upon spawning so it’s probably a good idea not to do that.

This happens constantly. Freelancer is a buggy mess.

The NPC pool of possible targets needs to be vastly expanded. All those NPCs on all those maps, yet I often encounter the same targets.

It’s weird they made the items in Freelancer get added to the inventory after spawning in, when in the main game they’ve always been insantly in my inventory, even when skipping the starting cutscenes. Maybe it’s a limitation of being able to lose the items in Freelancer

I think it’s probably due to an engine limitation. There’s no loadout selection screen before the mission in Freelancer so the game probably spawns you with no loadout, then activates some script to give you the items you had on you when you were in the safehouse.

On another note I dunno what Freelancer did to the guard AI but it’s in total derp land now. I killed a few thugs (as thug) in Mumbai for the Arms Trafficking objectives, then changed into a metalworker disguise to escape the storm of Crows that hunted me. Afterwards I killed the remaining targets and decided to go back in the central area to open a crate. Some Crow enforcer saw me but instead of just doing the whole ā€œhey I don’t know youā€ thing he immediately opened fire with no warning, then every cop in the street I escaped to started to shoot as well and it’s obvious what happened next -_-

If there’s one thing that needs to get fixed ASAP it’s those stupid psycho guards. I suspect assassins have something to do with this, since alerted assassins can instantly spot you no matter what you’re wearing and shoot immediately upon seeing you. So I suppose some regular guards probably switch into that broken alerted assassin AI for some reason.

I don’t know if this has been mentioned here before, and I know I said I’d stop playing Freelancer till the next patch, but while the Druzhina 34 ICA Arctic says it has the Marksman Perk, it doesn’t seem to work on PS4.

This is really not a weapon I have much experience with. Is there something I’m missing or is this a bug?

Edit: @Guillermo_Murillo brought up this bug on February 5.

There’s a bug I’ve noticed on every map related to showdowns. If you throw an item to distract a suspect, if there is an NPC in the general vicinity the suspect will always ask them to investigate it, even if the NPC wasn’t distracted by the item. However, the other NPC never moves to investigate, and eventually both resume their normal routes. The only exception to this is if the suspect has an assassin, then the assassin will move to actually investigate the noise (though this doesn’t always happen).

Shortly after its release, there was a glitch where the gun used in Siberia in this Sniper Assassin mode somehow worked with impact rounds and wall penetration functionality even in the main mission.
When that glitch was fixed, I remember that the Marksman disappeared along with the impact rounds and wall penetration function.
Since then, the marksman has remained missing.

The " Druzhina 34 ICA Wallbang" section of the following link explains the bug fix.

Not a ā€žFreelancerā€ Bug per se but the ā€žDubai Sniper Weapon Porotocolā€ that was mentioned in the patchnotes is still/back in the game.
Penthouse Guards disguise can carry sniper rifles in the open without it being considered an illegal action.

Don’t know if this has been reported, but this is a really annoying bug that has me really not enjoy showdowns, especially the later ones with more of suspects.

When I make them a non-suspect, they turn gray, but then when i walk away and look at them again in instinct, they are blue.

As you see in the picture, right in front of me based on the icon, they should be completely gray (even the icon once their head is gray, but their outline is blue. It makes searching/tracking for suspects completely broken.

The wilsons’ garage door is impossible to close, it goes all the way down but inmediatly goes up again as if something is blocking it.

I actually got screwed over with that. Lured target in, closed the garage, stabbed the target, garage never stayed closed and got compromised. Sigh.

A civilian seeing someone being shot fails the no combat objective.
