And it’s gotta be insta-draw and shoot without so much as the usual dialogue in advance to deny the player the few seconds they normally to react when a guard goes hostile.

That objective should be removed IMO, it never works as it should. Hit a target in the shoulder with a sniper from 2 km away? Yup, that’s “combat”.

I noticed that it seems it has to be a male NPC, even one that’s not a guard sees you doing something illegal, then the no combat objective fails. i got spotted by a woman in Mumbai, and then in the process of knocking her out, her husband, I’m assuming, over heard and came down and the objective failed as soon as he saw me. It’s happened twice now, so I can’t imagine its a bug.

I need to start alt+f4ing whenever the game fucks me over because of a bug.

I can be miles away from an incident and suddenly everyone around me gets suspicious. It’s stupid and broken.

Most common bug appears to be Timed - Hide and Seek being unbeatable in Hardcore Mode. I wonder if the timer isn’t actually being reset when I hide in a container even though it says it is and that I only have 2 minutes and 30 seconds to beat the level. For all we know it might not even be a bug - IO might’ve realized it was too easy and changed it to function as a regular timed mission prestige objective. Next time I should just run through with a couple ducks without hiding in any closet or container and hope it works.

This doesn’t make any sense at all.

Can confirm I’ve entered “combat” when alone and totally isolated with a female target NPC. She didn’t even see me (was facing the opposite direction) and instead just got spooked by a bullet hitting the wall.

So… this happened.

Guess there’s only way to find out.

Not really. All that’s needed is logic and to read the description. Does it say “Hide and Seek”? If yes, then it’s supposed to be a Hide and Seek objective and not a hard timer for the mission.

So exclusively a random bug that can ruin an otherwise perfect playthrough at anytime? So IO must either fix this problem OR just have bugged failures trigger Diana apologizing for her poor intelligence and stating that sadly his assignment is still a failure. The risk of losing for no reason kinda makes Hardcore Mode truly hardcore.

You act as if random bugs that can ruin an otherwise perfect playthrough at any time were absolutely unheard of until this bug was discovered. :joy:

They are rather annoying and very frustrating especially since I nearly halfway and thought I might actually pull it off on my first attempt. I think exploits definitely are necessary to use since the game is exploiting us we have the right to exploit it back. For example always use Psy-Ops and use distract target to bump into them in order to identify them then leave them a duck unless Silent Assassin is required and get out as quickly as possible. And try to do this before next update as I expect IO to change it so distracting any suspect achieves the distract target objective. They’d probably consider that a priority over fixing the hide and seek bug.

Dunno if it’s a bug or not but if you’re holding onto a suitcase whilst inside a freezer/hiding spot and you pull out a two handed weapon you drop the suitcase and it become unretrievable. Don’t be like me and carry legendary snipers in suitcases. You will lose them

What the actual fuck was that?? :joy:

I have absolutely no idea. I ended up just closing the bathroom door and walking away. I don’t get paid enough to deal with the supernatural.

Would you by chance be using the mod that allows NPCs to wake up after being KO’d?

I do see you have the PS prompts, but I’ve seen those on PC with some… tinkering(?). Anyway, I’ve used that mod and the same thing happens with that. After so much time (the time to wake back up -I’d presume) they’ll be invisible outside of where you dumped them. Then you can subdue them again… If you leave them there and a guard wakes them up… They can become immortal. :joy:

So if you do this with guards - they can fight/shoot back and nothing will kill them.

Nope, just on the regular old PlayStation. Never had it happen before and I’ve been playing since season 1.

Very minor as it does not affect gameplay in any way but as soon as you notice it, you can’t miss it! I don’t know if anyone else noticed this but in this cutscene, 47 has his HITMAN 2 face model and suit style instead of his HITMAN 3 look which is as expected for all the other loading cutscenes.

This is probably the same as Escalations, but the disguise change rule is a bit misleading.
Says along the lines of ‘One disguise allowed’, but changing into one, then back to your suit counts as 2 disguises, failing the objective. Your suit isn’t a disguise really, nor is it a new one; you’re just alternating from one.
Simple fix would be ‘One costume change allowed’; a lot clearer in its wording, and doesn’t need to change any functionality
