Where’s the option for: IOI don’t want to fully add to the story so won’t say a specific location.

Then I suppose you could (still) choose ‘Some Other Place’ and it’d be ‘Unknown’. I did briefly have a thought to list that but didn’t.

I propose there is no location, it’s redacted. Then it’s up to head-canons to fill in the blank.

It’s just going to be “somewhere”. Unnamed in the end. Or Montana. One of the two.

Nah, 47 wouldn’t pick Montana to live. Too much drugs and religion to be consistent with good mental health.

Well, in the middle of nowhere, neither of those things is a factor. It’s not like he’s in the middle of a city.

Also pretty sure it was in the alpha too.

Wait a minute… If these files/dossiers or targets/missions are from Grey, and Grey was living somewhere in Germany…

Could the safehouse originally belonged to Lucas Grey?

I could also speculate that the cabin is the location, just built over using the funds he already had saved up from working all those years with the ICA.

Was the cabin in the UK?

Or, if the safehouse did belong to Grey, I suppose it wouldn’t necessarily have to be in Germany. The dossiers could’ve came from anywhere, and then we just have them at our (new) place to mull over.

I’m assuming primarily that 47 either built or bought the property off of whatever he had left stored away from ICA, or off of whatever he earned from the Dartmoor Garden Show contract, which could actually help explain how Diana knew to leave a trail for him to find her cabin, if he was already looking for work again before she contacted him. DGS could have been a fully solo, independent contract that he took on to rebuild his finances that takes place before the final H3 cutscene, and Diana learned about it in the news, and like Grey, knew how to recognize the work and leave a way to contact her, in a place she knew he’d find and follow through on.

The dossiers I’m assuming have been sent to him by Diana from sources on the dark web and criminal underground that are likely open bounties, put out by whomever wants the targets dead, to whomever is willing to respond to the offers. My guess is that these organizations are popping up in the wake of the destruction of all the other organizations 47 destroyed throughout WoA. The loss of Providence overall likely opened up a vacuum in the world of financial crime, Ether going down probably led to an increase in human experimentation and organ harvesting, the Delgado cartel opened new drug-running territories, IAGO: espionage, the pirate syndicates: gun-running and human trafficking, ICA: assassins and fixers, etc., you get it. So I’m thinking these dossiers are not leftover from Grey, but new players that need to be swept off the board before they get too far into the game.

I’m hoping it’s revealed where 47 is now staying. In my opinion I think it would be a nice touch.

I’m thinking 47 would have bought it off somebody.

In my opinion, it looks as if that hideout has been around for many years because it looks run down and has vines etc growing from the roofing as seen in the photo :slightly_smiling_face:

It’ll probably be unknown like ICA base from the tutorial missions

I thought someone made a world map of all the places where 47 had missions/assignments, and the ICA facility was somewhere in Greenland(?). Because someone commented to the OP that the training didn’t count as a mission.

If I, or anyone else knows the post I’m thinking about - I’ll edit and add, or they can post it here.

Wait I thought Dartmoor Garden Show, like all other escalations, wasn’t a canon contract?

Yeah it is in Greenland, i meant that in the game itnsays “classified” or something

It’s debatable, but there are several things that suggest it’s an actual mission that’s only presented in the gameplay form of an escalation. It clearly takes place sometime after the main Dartmoor mission, and given the timeframe of the rest of the game, can only take place during or after the year timeskip after Carpathian Mountains; the map is completely redone to show that it’s not just a redo of Dartmoor from its main mission, unlike other escalations; it has brand new targets brought in for this specific event.

The fact that you play it three times in the form of an escalation is the only thing that sets it apart to even be questionable, but I’m pretty sure canon-wise, DGS actually takes place, and is either the first mission 47 and Diana take after joining up again, before they start their Freelancer contracts, or 47 takes it up on his own and that’s how Diana finally manages to find him and direct him to her cabin, so that they can start working together again. As far as story goes, you ignore the fact that you start three times, and 47 just does it all in one go.

Besides, there are escalations that can be considered canon, primarily the 7 Deadly Sins, which are taking place in 47’s head between Mendoza and Carpathian Mountains, and the Halloween escalation in Hawke’s Bay could be counted as well, since that’s a nightmare Orson Mills is having.

More than the 3 times thing, the principal problem I have with that escalation being canon is we don’t know who exactly 47 did kill here, since the targets are semi random. That and the fact that the whole mission had some silly overtones similar to Berlin Egg Hunt and Mills Reverie, so if it’s “canon” it’s probably some kind of dream or fantasy like 7DS is.

Not necessarily. After all, we don’t know who among the agents in Berlin 47 killed, or if he killed all of them. As for the similarities to the egg hunt and such, that’s just because of the escalation nature. The egg hunt is still the same Berlin with a few added details, like the Holiday Hoarders is still the same Paris with some Christmas decorations thrown around. DGS is totally reworked, and actually has a story to it’s targeting, rather than the usual escalations of just taking out NPCs that are found on the usual map anyway. Again, id you ignore the escalation aspect of it, it plays like a normal mission, and since it’s usually the same targets to pick from and just shuffled in who is the client and who is a target, like the kill methods, the individual player can just decide in their head who is who, while the mission itself actually happened. Still debatable of course, but it could work.

The mission only requires you to kill 5 agents, so the canon is probably just that, and Montgomery is very likely one of those since he was originally the main target anyway

Also I’d like to think the safehouse is either Grey’s or ICA’s, and its location is classified

But the uncertainty is my point.

Being an ICA safehouse would at least explain the huge ass map in the middle of the room.
