I think it’ll be highly likely that the Ornamental (and other themed weapons) from the Mastery track will also unlock them for your main game save when that’s added.
Well so far it’s only a testing version so that’s to be expected. But I’d rather have IOI focus on tweaking the gameplay and removing the bugs before the release than adding a bunch of items. Those can come afterwards, in the months following the release. We don’t really need to have everything available at once when the purpose of Freelancer is to unlock the items in the safehouse as we progress into the campaigns ![]()
Well, I think I’m off to bed in an hour or so, so this is probably my final situation in the technical test, as I have work tomorrow and I suspect the technical test will be over with before I get home.
Probably has something to do with the way the servers verify Hitman 3 or how they reduced game size with that new compression method.
Compression usually focuses on redundancy but leaves alot of reliances so I.E Mendoza wont work because it has the skybox of Sapienza or smth like that
Thank you for your positive and not so positive answers. I’ve been advised to take a look at the description of what Freelancer actually is some time ago but even if i saw some images and some intel (pun intended), i decided i’ll discover the new mode when it will be out. The only thing i’m a bit concerned is what you said @Kent which is quite an interesting remark. In any case i guess the key word here for me is: unlocks ![]()
Gotta love being in an unlocks frenzy. Thanks again!
Ok… how do you find lookouts? I’ve killed the Leader multiple times and scoured the map trying to fulfill the “kill lookout” Prestige objective, but I can’t find 'em!
Look for anyone who is a super enforcer. And they usually hang around where one of the suspects is in the Showdown map.
My furthest point reached in Freelancer CTT… Died in Mumbai while cornered by Train Yard guards, couldn’t climb away fast enough. I’m gonna miss this mode, but I’m excited to see what might change in the future
I did it! I finally managed to complete an entire campaign! I’m so happy! After failing and it resetting 3 times I did it!
Now 47, gets to have a little rest and enjoy the sunset as a reward.
I had so much fun with this and I can’t wait for the full release.
Didn’t see anyone mention it, so may I inquire if Diana is still present in Mendoza? As I understand, the maps don’t have a lot of changes aside from the Freelancer features obviously, but Diana’s removal sort of suggests itself so as to not get in the player’s way.
The (other) main mission target Tamara Vidal is missing too. But yeah, I think they removed them for the purposes of Freelancer. Diana was scripted to tag along with Tamara, and so since they couldn’t have the player potentially killing Diana - it’d make sense that, well, both were removed.
Edit: I’d suspect they’re chained up in t-poses in both of the silos where the snipers are. ![]()
It’s controversial to say, but Hitman games should have always worked like this mode.
I played maybe ~ 30 minutes of CTT and I enjoyed it more than any hour spent with the story mode.
So, I noticed that the Sieger 300 now has an animation when packed/unpacked from the briefcase. Has that already been added to the base game as well? (I uninstalled it to make room for the CTT, so I can´t check)
Also finally completed a campaign, and damn did it feel good!
I find it funny that Freelancer is supposed – or isn’t it? – to be this hardcore game mode where you can fail big time when you slip up BUT the game allows you to use all mechanics that make the game easier (NPC icons, instinct,…).
It feels contradictory, although I definitely understand why they’re not disabled by default.
I am looking forward to playing the full game mode next year – without those “aids”.
And I will definitely curse myself for even writing this come January. ![]()
I also play without the NPC circles, the minimap and I use instinct very sparingly, because it removes the suspense of not knowing if an enemy is around the corner. From the videos I saw I think it would be much more difficult to play with this style, if not impossible.
I also don’t like much the appearance of the new suspects, in some locations like Hokkaido they seem completely out of place. The less emphasis on SA could be good but killing non targets should remain an exception. The conflicting optional objectives should be fixed because they make no sense at all.
That might just be added because it’s a Common sniper, and they needed it to feel less-useful than the Sieger 300 Viper (Epic) that doesn’t have an animation.
Ah, I see… Well I´d still prefer if they just added that animation to all the Sieger rifles throughout the whole game. It just looks cooler, even if it takes longer to (un)pack.
Yea but its a mini sniper
But the briefcase is even more mini ![]()
It’s nothing to do with that.
- The servers do not verify your install of Hitman 3.
- It is not because of how they reduced the game size.
It’s just their automated packers, and they forgot to blacklist it.
