That was quick! On 2 May 22, Embracer Group entered an agreement with Crystal Dynamics, Eidos-Montréal, Square Enix Montréal and today they completed the acquisition.
That means they own over 50 legacy IPs and a number of significant franchises, including Tomb Raider, Deus Ex, Thief, Sleeping Dogs, all for a cool $300 million deal with Square Enix.

Have any of these games have ever been announced without a leak?? I feel like this is the 4th time in a row I’m hearing of a “new Assassin’s Creed: Subtitle leaked, to be revealed later!”

No they never have and even they are aware of it (Aware in so much as you might not believe the leaks are engineered) and there is a mission in Watch_Dogs 2 mocking the “tradition”. You even get to leak the trailer for a game Ubisoft was actually working on but seemingly doesn’t appear to be worked on anymore.
