So, from being super hyped to being super frustrated and disappointed.
After I click launch on epic, it shows hitman launcher, I select lowest settings and click on play. Then screen turns black for a couple of seconds and it closes down :(( I know I do not have the best PC, with GPU 940MX, but I was playing hitman 2 just fine.
Do you play Hitman 2 using DX11 or DX12?

Hm, that’s weird. It could be possible that H3 DX12 requires a feature level higher than 11_0, which is not supported by the 940MX. Unfortunately, I’m still downloading the game and cannot check that for you. Let’s hope someone at IOI replies here.
Edit: Well, the GTX660 (minimum requirement) only supports feature level 11_0 as well, that means your problem is not related to DirectX.

I actually bought a new laptop with 1660-ti, and its coming in a week, so I just need a little more patience. I was just really expecting to start it today.

I have a similar problem. My components meet the system requirements but do not support DirectX 12. Although, according to the information on the game page, everything should work. Keep in touch with the situation
You should try out a this Site: Can You RUN It | Can I Run It | Can My PC Run It
It tells if you can run the Game, so you atleast know if the problem is on your or Epic’s Side.
I don’t think it is your computer, I have a PC more than capable of running this game and I can’t launch it. I played for an hour this morning then turned it off to do something now it won’t launch. I’m reinstalling the game for a third time now and hoping that it is just on Epic’s side.
The only thing where I do not meet the requirements is that my GPU is less performant than a minimal recommended one according to benchmarks. It still has 2bg vram though. So I do not believe it’s the reason for a game to not start at all. And it’s probably not Epic’s fault also, more like Hitman’s, Epic opens Hitman launcher, it’s the Hitman launcher that doesn’t start the game.
By now I have tried restarting PC, restarting EGS, verifying game files, and finally reinstalling the game. Nothing helped. 
# UPDATE YOUR GRAPHICS DRIVER. THIS WILL RESOLVE THE ISSUE.
I had same issue. Now fixed after downloading and installing Driver from below link.

I have done everything imaginable. Ive been in contact with EG and IOI, neither of them have a solution, i even refunded the game, deleted everything involving Epic Games or Hitman then repurchased and downloaded the game and i still cant launch it. Makes no sense to me at all.

I have heard that audio drivers may cause this. But do not believe it to be a cause.
Why don’t you try updating audio drivers and check.

gracias,pero ya he realizado todos estos pasos varias veces y aun no funciona, me parece fatal como esan actuando los desarrolladores sin darnos una sola ayuda.
Yeah I have tried literally everything, Epic Games is no help and nobody from IOI has reached out yet…tough out here
