Chicago has now renamed Congress and Lake Shore Drive. 2 of the 3 most recognised street names. I was against both bc neither of the old names were social issue problems. I could have lived with the 1st bc everyone can see Congress has become ineffective, but I’m not sure naming anything after a person is ever a good idea since we are all flawed and both streets are now named for people.

A reporter caught video of a mother having to throw her baby off the 2nd story roofing of a burning building to people below who helped both mom and baby reach safety. You can see the footage in this link.

I feel like all the effort and taxpayer money they put into this could have been better spent fixing the fucking reef.
Also China is the chair of this year’s UNESCO panel and China said we should just suck it up and try fixing the reef I will say that is unlikely.
