Make it a rule: Spoiler/Blur the actual EE result. Easy fix really.

So, I finally got around to watching ‘The Matrix Resurrections’.

A black cat is quiet a prominent plot device in this film (along with its bell):

There’s also the post-credit scene, where they talk about a ‘Catrix’.

Not saying that there’s still an EE, just that it may be connected to the allegedly cut EE. Could just be a coincidence though.

IOI could have added the rabbit from the Berlin Egg Hunt to this. A potentially missed opportunity.

The movie released after Hitman 3 was released.

This is a direct reference to first Stalker game. Strelok was a main character and at end of game from Clear Sky (second game, prequel) you need to kill Strielok with sniper rifle (Gauss Gun) . So Druzhina 34 is on a purpose as a russian weapon.

There are a lot of easter eggs with the challenges. They had fun with it.

Another one - a reference to Hitman Blood Money! When you killed a rats in safehouse that triggered a Rat meeting in Paris Opera!

Oh god, more nostalgia-baiting.

That said, it is a lovely picture, I will probably use it on the artistic merits alone.

You can see the bind i’m in.

How did you get it? Is there something specific you have to do in the safehouse to unlock it?

No. It’s a part of unlocks. A decoration what you can choose between few avaiable.

I’m well aware of that, but production started almost a year before. It was also publicly announced several months before that.

Cats were symbolic in the original trilogy, and in ‘The Animatrix’:

I had always assumed that the EE was a promotional tool. It being cut may have been down to that plan not taking place. In hindsight, considering that the cat played quite a central role in the latest film, it may have been one of the reasons why it was cut.

An alternative, and perhaps more plausible, theory, is that it was because of a change in publisher.

Warner Bros. published ‘Hitman 2’, and they own the ‘The Matrix’ franchise.

Why would an easter egg in a very niche game be used for marketing? It makes no sense, a lot of easter eggs were cut because of budget and time constraints (as said by a developer on reddit saying they had planned a lot more easter eggs in Mendoza).

It’s almost certain that IOI was always going to self-publish Hitman 3 and it wasn’t going to be some hypothetical marketing stunt. You’re reading far too into it and making up details and hypothethicals that just sound insane.

I don’t know why you feel the need to constantly attempt to rebuke every single comment I make on this topic, but you seem to be intent on winning an argument that doesn’t exist.

Random thought.

I was reading through some old posts and I mentioned that there are ‘Pirate’ posters in Chongqing.

Most of us thought that a maneki-neko EE was on the same map, but then one appeared in Ambrose Island.

Why?

Perhaps the EE extends across both maps, like Jeff from Patient Zero.

Ambrose Island also takes place before Chongqing.

Anyway, this is probably a wild goose chase, but I thought that it was worth mentioning.

The only easter egg I know that related to you, @Notex, is this one. Pretty funny, and quite wholesome.
Is there another ?
