I had this happen the first day by happenstance (and a sprayed smg), and looked into how to do it again since. I thought it was bugged. Like some of the pickups, that are impossible to take after the first time (the fuse in the garage, and the rusted nails)
Not bad. Not bad at all. (Obtain the Silverballers, and then use them to win the shooting contest - Score min of 650)
If it’s that.
130 shots here. (in absolution you could have up to 20 per shot according to the wiki)
By the way @Hitman4726, textures are of lower resolution on Xbox, could you look into the rest of the target (the scoring tab). It looks mundane (I think it’s just scoring, and lines to indicates names, but again low res), but to be sure.
I’m personally not really into this as the way to resolve the EE. But who knows.
Anyone have any theories about Anthony Fuller’s cryptic message about the ‘Eric Torrance phone home’ note being put in China semi-intentionally?
It’s been wrecking my brain. (For the record, I prefer it when the talented data miners keep stuff cryptic. It’s no fun to just get given the answers.)
Its placement is bugged and doesn’t work as intended.
If you have a safe in the appartement, the note is properly placed to be inside. But the note bugs out and always spawn. In which case it just floats in the air.
So best case scenario, it’s not supposed to spawn yet/is a placeholder, but the cutting of it worked backward. Nothing more I think. Neutral case scenario : it’s intended to spawn in the safe as a small EE hint for players, non-intentionally always does.
I don’t think @AnthonyFuller intended to be cryptic. No hidden meaning. Just a bugged spawn
Damnitt… worth a try, I suppose. Would’ve been nice to include an Absolution Easter egg.
Watch it end up being something like “360 no scope each target through the head.”
It’s got to be related to the camera thing in the corner… it disappears quite quickly, so is there something that has to be done to the head area in that short space of time?
The in picture camera looks more utility than EE related to me.
Honestly I don’t know. Haven’t touched the game since mastery 100 last week, came back just to try a few things on this EE (for the glory of the forum!), but now I think I will leave again to the next content drop.
wild guess: is it possible the shooting range Easter egg requires wearing a specific suit? if it is indeed meant to be done with silver ballers, perhaps it only works with 47’s signature suit (since they go together). or…maybe with that level 100 suit unlock since it’s special?
there are suit-specific things in this game, so it’s not that weird to consider
I haven’t seen anyone talk about this yet, but on the first set of targets, when you activate the PIP, the target you shoot at flashes red. You can do this before activating the audio cue. I’ve tried achieving various scores then activating PIP with nothing found yet.
I have no idea if this is related to the audio cue, but it’s highly suspicious. The western themed targets (the only other non-premium ones) doesn’t behave this way, and there are western target decals on the first stage, which I think indicates we will move on to them targets later.
I’m hope to see more progress on this in the coming days.
This is probably nothing but interested in what people think. At level 95-ish you unlock a punching bag skin for the gym, which is identical to the previous one except that it has a poster of a mugshot silhouette with ? on the face, and when you interact with this one it plays that annoying gym music from Haven.
The silhouette poster just reminds me of a ‘target’ poster, and I find it weird that it’s only different in those slight ways.
Another probably meaningless thing, one of the skins for the bed in the bedroom has this on the stand beside:
Doubt the ‘code’ means anything, pretty sure it’s a reused asset. But the fact it’s next to a weapons magazine featuring the text ‘lethal weapons out of nothing’ and featuring what looks like a makeshift sniper seems interesting.
Also, probably a glitch, but when you stand next to the bed and look towards the outside you may notice the small interact prompt square icon:
It’s way off in the distance, seemingly in the middle of the lake. Moving around will show that it’s not related to any actually accessible prompt, and disappears when you move too close. I first noticed it when looking in the mirror of the bathroom on the other side of the wall. Makes me wonder if there’s an interaction that’s bugged out and inaccessible.
Another glitchy thing… someone has probably pointed this out. Annoyingly the makeshift dining table features a rusty screwdriver, but it can’t actually be picked up… which is a shame. If it could, I would wonder if we can do something with it.
Just thought I’d share a bunch of grasped at straws with the class. There are quite a few interactions in the safehouse that are only present with certain decorations, including the shooting range stuff obviously. I wonder if any more ominous ones are being overlooked.
Those sushi boxes come from Paris originally (hence why it says “sushi japonais” on the box despite French not being the language used in the UAE), the Mini Ninjas symbol can also be found on some trucks in the western part of the level.
(That symbol is also actually the kanji 忍 which is used in “ninja” 忍者)
