H3 - Elusive Targets (ETs)

I love ETs, and I’m especially excited for brand new ETs. What do we think the chances are that we’ll learn what the “change to the formula” is with the new H3 targets? I’m thinking 60-40 that we still won’t have had the details of the change prior to launching the first new ET.

Hooray! I admit it feels a bit unceremonious to have our first direct-from-blog-post confirmation of them to be buried under a paid DLC announcement, but any news is good news, in my opinion!

I’m sure word will spread around a lot further once they announce who and when the first one will be.

Promised new formula for ETs in HITMAN 3?

Like you say, I think the news about ET has fallen slightly by the waist side because of the big DLC announcement.

Hopefully IOI will do an updated blog post focusing on the new ET when they are ready to go live

As someone who had to change platforms for HITMAN 3 and so couldn’t transfer over H1/H2 progress into H3, I’m really hoping that the Sin Seasons will start picking up the pace with ETs.

Obviously, I’m looking forward to playing the now-confirmed brand new H3 ETs as much as anyone else, but given that I’m playing HITMAN 3 in a fresh profile without all the H1/H2 ET suits, I’d like to see IOI releasing at least 2 ETs (Old and/or New) every Sin Season, especially as these will be longer periods of time than the old monthly roadmaps.

I’ve completed The Deceivers and The Stowaway in H3, but I’m still a massive 7 ETs away from getting back my beloved Signature Suit With Gloves (and that’s assuming I don’t fail any ETs, which isn’t at all unlikely given that I’ll be playing all new H3 ETs in my usual #TeamNoRestarts manner). If the ETs don’t start being released on a more frequent basis then I’ll be waiting until the end of the year to get the chance to earn back the Signature Suit With Gloves, and I’m sure that many others on HMF will share my view that that’s a Must Have suit.

With so many H1/H2 ETs already sitting on the shelf with the vast bulk of the work done and ready to go, it would be nice if we start seeing a few of these being made a part of each new Sin Season: returning players with their H1/H2 progress imported can view them as a ‘free hit’ to either ignore or try something creative on without fear of consequences, and new players or players like me without progress imports will get the chance to fill out our Legacy wardrobe at a faster pace.

It’s confirmed then.

now I guess the big question is - will we get any new unlocks at all? the “complete X ETs” challenges have the same suits as H2, and we already have the location suits in the mastery tracks, so the answer isnt immediately obvious

Today I had first ever chance to play Gary Busey.
What can I say. Nothing special about him, except he has two undistractable guards.
They literally do not react to anything. I consider this kind of behavior as a bug, and I strongly don’t like it.
It’s a hell of a job to get rid of them.
But eventually I got him alone and brought him to virus environment and activated it.
Then I just wasted his body in the acid.
Mission complete

“Nothing special?” He’s got a whole route from the Town Square down the the Marina, with plenty of voice lines to accompany it.

We already have the proper gloved variants so IOI could just give us driving gloved variants as a joke I mean annoyance to fans.

How did you do it? A mod?

There is some sort of mod floating around as people have already played The Collector in Dartmoor as well. The Wildcard is still fully in the game (and apparently was in H2 as well), but has simply just never been officially reactivated.

Yes, finally!! @Urben you have some pressure :grinning:

It sounds like the Collector is able to swape disguise to reach an eventual paint. This kind of “behavior” looks like the Stowaway who changes outfit when “recognized”. It seems that IOI devs tried some assets during the post-launch development of H2.

And all those people doubting IOI saying this wouldn’t happen.

Really looking forward to playing this, especially on one of my favourite maps!

That has been in the game data for years - it was originally made for H1 and wasn’t used. The briefing and even some gameplay has been floating around for years as well.

I wouldn’t call it a spoiler since the two targets appear in the Chongqing data leak cutscene as part of data 47 deletes before uploading it. So IO obviously have some sort of plan in place for them.

I didn’t know. And I hope they will be real. I like it

We can only hope, tbh. There is no reason for IO to withhold them, considering they are pretty much finished ET’s.
