Man this ruined my excitement for Hitman 3. Making people pay for things they already own is not good business practices. What’s worse is there isn’t a doubt in my mind that if the game launched on steam we would have access to Hitman 2. Fuck.

Im quite confused (and a bit drunk, maybe that explains it…)

I own and have naturally played Hitman 1 & 2 on steam. Do I have to buy these again in the epic store to be able to play them within Hitman 3?

I preordered the second I could, and I do not regret that. I will survive, but this is really poor from IO, making PC players buy a product that they already own… Especially since we are five days from release and no word of this up until now. Not making the Epic Store exclusive decision any better.

I don’t think they will do that. Both in that it has already been set in stone in how this will operate, and that it would drive more disastrous outcomes into them acknowledging and implying that it was bad all along. They already pissed off a lot of people, best not to do it further.

It’s no different than every other PR they pulled. I can understand why people are angry, they even tried with a discount and plan to do so overtime and people still got pissed.

If HITMAN 3 is the last HITMAN game for quite ages, they must be care little about PR

No matter how many discounts they do if a person already bought a thing and forced to buy it again.
If that thing was free for the second time, people would’ve accept it.
But personally I don’t care much of a price (although I won’t buy a game that I own for a second time for a full price), I’m more concerned about progress transfer is being one time thing
