Hitman 3 DLC in the Works

Nah, the timing in the past would be ok. Alternatively, they could just do it in the “one year later” period when they are presumably operating freelance. It would pretty much be the same, only without the ICA.

I think that might be a little more complicated… In Colorado, he was the boss (and during Freedom Fighters he´s just camping on a hilltop with a rifle). On Sgail, presumably all he does is infiltrate the place and take control of the helicopter. In both missions, you would have to implement 47 moving around the place and doing stuff. Paris… He was basically just meeting and making a deal with Novikov. Dubai and Dartmoor, he was outside the main map, basically sitting in one place.

Also, I´m not sure about Grey´s MO. He doesn´t really seem to utilize disguises like 47 does, and aside from Providence personnel, he avoids collateral damage at all cost, which could add extra limitations to the gameplay (yeah, 47 does as well, but has the liberty not to, whereas Grey would be more like Ezio in this regard).

Don´t get me wrong, I´m not against the idea of Grey DLC (or even game), but I think it would be better off with its own locations and maybe not strictly tied to the Hitman formula of disguises and assassinations… The Moscow mission where he kills Kamarov? Absolutely. Stalking Hajun from Italy to South Africa? Sure. His infiltration of the Providence vault in NYC? Same. Lots of potential there for a fun stealth game (kinda like Absolution, but without the bad mechanics), and exploring Grey´s and Olivia´s story would be nice as well.

This crossed my mind as well. Perhaps that´s why they decided not to release it so far. Also, I don´t think paying for access to it is necessary. It can be provided as part of the deluxe content (which most people either have or will get), not to mention it would eventually be part of a GOTY/Final edition.

(Also, weren´t the bonus missions in H1 added without extra charge? I only got H1 with the GOTY edition, so I don´t know what the system was…)

The three Bonus Missions from H1 were part of the seventh “Bonus Episode”, so they were included with the “Full Experience” or could be purchased separately for people that were picking and choosing which episodes to own.

I’m choosing to believe that the fact Orlando and Renzo are seemingly now canon targets and appear in the Chongqing data, IO has a plan of some sort for the mission with H3.

Ex-MI5… :frowning:

Shit.

20 pins in the conspiracy wall

I just got an idea!

What if the targets of the DLC level or levels would be… Helmut Kruger, Jason Portman, Amos Dexter and Sheikh Al-Ghazali.

Now that the ICA has gone to the dogs, maybe the board directors can become targets in the DLC. I know that the Hitman novels are about as popular as your average Texas Senator, but Hitman: Enemy Within (set in 2003) details the board in great detail:

  • Aheem Shbot (Former Iraqi minister, with a stolen $25 million fortune from the war)
  • Jose Sosa (Venezuelan oil minister)
  • Frank Tang (High-ranking member of a Chinese tong, or crime ring)
  • Lalu Khan aka “King of Whores” (Leader of Asia’s biggest prostitute network)
  • Dr. Natalia Luka (Arms dealer selling Russian nuclear weapons to the third world)
  • Hans Beck (German industrialist and aspiring politician)
  • Mary Minnarr (South African blood diamond mogul)
  • Mustapha Nour (Egyptian arms dealer, selling to terrorists)
  • Goto Osami (Japanese Yakuza member)

Same. Think rn I’d be more excited for a Grey mission DLC (in a reused location) than a new 47 mission (new location) I flipped

I’ve also heard people talk about Soders DLC, but Soders is such a nothing character in the trilogy. Not really any point expanding his character

With Soders, It is more using the Cold War era more then anything else. Though a Hitman spin-off with levels set between late 40s-80s could work quite well. Perhaps just a reimagined 47 and Diana during that period.

I think the cold war era setting is cool idea. But 47 and Diana aren’t around then and Soders is such a one dimensional character who’s really just a B-plot villain of season 1 that I don’t think they need to do anything with his character. It would just be a waste of potential imo

Level set in the 80s with an explosive phone item so big it requires the briefcase

I think Soders would be a complete waste, But going with a reimagined 47 and Diana (Spin-off universe logic etc…). Though a new agent and set up of the ICA could work as well.

@Freezer
The Phone is the briefcase

Would like to see Cigarette and Cigar gadgets like shooting an emetic dart, One blows sleeping gas or just an explosive one can hide in a targets cigar box.

Have they ever used or acknowledged anything from the books as canon?

Lots of video games have books and comics with their own stories, but they are hardly even acknowledged by the game developers. Probably because they want to do their own thing and don’t read them.

The only studio that comes to mind which regularly uses stuff from books and comics is Blizzard.

I know you may not like playing “as” him, but it’d be a new experience with new abilities (maybe?)

I agree on that. Another story part would be more interesting. But when they do it like Patient Zero, unattached from the main story, he still could visit existing locations.

I disagree on that. He’s a terrorist, he killed many civilians with his actions. Yes, if possible, he avoids collateral damage. Like the family of that politician Alma kidnapped. He gave order to use them, but free them afterwards if possible. And he blew up the Ether building with many people in there who surely died. So if necessary, he accepts collateral damage, just like 47.

This sounds sooooo cool and interesting!! I would be all in

I’d like a campaign with 6 missions from the trilogy.

  1. Paris :night_with_stars: maybe a classical music concert with expo inside the palace by night with rain.

  2. Bangkok :sunrise: just the hotel situation, beach area open and the left wing as a hotel maybe with an important UN meeting by the morning/lunchtime.

  3. Hawke’s Bay :city_sunrise: sunset, the photographer as a target and some party playboy style.

  4. Wittleton Creek :snowflake: with Snow, in vermont there’s the ski season.

  5. Berlin early The Class concert or rock concert with more biker stuff.

  6. Chongqing :sunrise_over_mountains: with triads assassination stuff and by morning/day.

Super senseful i think.

Now that is a pretty cool idea let me tell you :clap:t2:

Imagine a Vector 2 mission where you are Grey and instead of Jeff making his way through the camp it is clumsy 47 with fiberwire to kill the 4 targets and you have to shoot everyone who is about to spot him. But 47 is not allowed to notice this because he would hit Restart for losing SA.

I think I first heard this on the ATH podcast, but some new missions with Grey that take place during the campaign would be really cool. Probably taking place before meeting 47 to establish a cool dual narrative. For example, Grey recovered the Ether memory serum In Johhanesburg, which sounds like a pretty cool mission concept.

There could also be a bonus mission on Colorado if they went this route, like when it was an actual farm and Grey takes out the owner to secure the compound for his militia. 2 new small-ish locations and a couple of bonus missions would make an excellent campaign, especially when you can play as Grey, maybe even unlock him as a character for all other missions
