Hitman 3 DLC in the Works

I’m firmly in the “yes I paid $200 over the last five years but it was 100% worth it and I’d pay more” camp. A year of Netflix costs that, let alone 5 years, and I’ve played Hitman way more.

I’ve definitely enjoyed every game and think it’s worth full price, but I’d like if IOI was gracious enough to not play silly buggers with us and just charge a flat out price rather than these surprise fees. If you’re going to have DLC lock it behind the Deluxe Pack, I want to upfront know in my mind I’ve bought everything. They did the same thing with GOTY Edition, where buying The Full Experience didn’t net you The Full Experience.

I expect Bonus Missions to be paid DLC. They don’t have lots of microtransactions and bonus DLC is a big cost I imagine.

@StingingVelvet, regarding turning Sniper assassin maps (Himmelstein, Hauntu Port, and Siberia) into Full Missions or even cameo apperance missions like Holiday Hoarders: "That might be a given, if there are no real interiors or ways to path, but seems possible from the sniper nest’s viewpoint, they run all throughout the Himmelstein Mansion if you miss and sound an alarm, IMHO worth a look into, if the dev’s are listening and don’t mind peeking around  "

Wish we could actually Hire John Malkovich, i love his work, unless… Gasps, He is 47’s voice?

Edit: Paid DLC might be ok, at a decent price, unfortunately, some uncharitable souls have uploaded H3 already, seen it in a google search, but i bout Hitman 3 on EGS twice, (returned it once but then realized the system i was incapable of running DirectX12.)

The Names in Contracts suggest otherwise and especially the Biker Gang or Club Staff are most likely German. Paris has that too, though I don’t think it was considered there, especially because they did better Jobs in Marrakesh and even Empty Shell Columbia.

Can i just say this, from an Indie Developer’s Standpoint, new Levels, with new Levels, isn’t a ‘thing.’

It’s Levels (maps, geometry, locations, whatever you wish to call them) and Missions, not levels within levels, please guy… c’mon.

It’s good Hitman 3 appears to be selling better and making good DLC shouldn’t be a problem but that was far from a guarantee before launch. I would personally rather them announce and price DLC when its ready, rather than do it before launch and realize they can’t deliver what they promised (Like with the Hitman 2 “missions” they said would be in the same vein as bonus missions/ patient zero). Plus correct me if I’m wrong but they didn’t have plans to make the GOTY content when they were selling the Full Experience. I mean maybe they could have gone with a name with a bit more future proofing but still.

IO going full Michael Mann

They went full Michael Mann in Kane & Lynch. That was basically Michael Mann: The Game.

Not expecting any free DLC (unless maybe if you had the Deluxe Edition as I think it’s overpriced for the extras you get) But I’d hope they offer something substantial to expand the game somewhat. If they don’t, it’s the season with the least content in regards to maps etc (not escalations/ETs etc as they’re bound to come over time)
S1:
-2x Training Levels
-6x main mission maps
-7x bonus levels
-1x Holiday hoarder bonus mission

S2:
-1x Small map (let’s face it, HB can’t be classed as a full level in the same caliber as the others)
-7x main mission maps
-3x Sniper Assassin maps
-4x Special Assignments

S3:
-1x Small map
-5x main mission maps

Just feels light if that’s all we get in regards to maps or missions

I’m very impressed by Hitman 3 so far and would gladly pay for DLC! Can’t get enough of this game.
What I think is more likely is that Deluxe edition’ers will get some of the DLC as a free bonus but the rest are paid DLC for everybody

It would feel a little bit like robbery if they did that, unless they did three years of DLC. So the first year is Deluxe Pack exclusive, 2nd and 3rd is additional purchases.

It feels like Hitman 2.5 and could’ve been 2 expansions or something.

Honestly all three games could have been one client experience with updates and new releases, but that would have gotten them a lot less press and likely far less money.

As I understand it, the original vision was to sell us just that. And then we would buy seasons two and three, which would launch from that same original launcher. But there was too much backlash against the episodic nature of HITMAN.

You forgot the “Hokkaido snow festival mission” seasonal content for Hitman 2
