EDIT #2: Peacock has just merged this change, it’ll likely show up in the next update for it unless you download it early Thanks to TheCatOnTheCeiling for merging this.
Hi, im pretty new to modding and i wanted to make some custom recolour/symbols changes to some suits, i did a simple one just to learn, on a shirt with the help of glaciermodding tutorial. Now i want to change The White Shadow suit, but the texture for the torso part is a bit difficult to predict how it actually look in-game . Is there any method to preview the changes on a 3D model in a program instead of finishing the mod, importing, putting it game and checking how every little change looks like in game?
It also now fixes disguise inconsistencies in all 2016 maps, so 47 should never magically create a hat when taking a handyman’s clothes in Hokkaido again with this mod, or any other similar situations :]
It also affects Hawke’s Bay, and some of Miami. I’ll get back to working on it eventually, but for now I just put in what was done (since it’s better than nothing)
And, just one more thing:
(The Whittleton Sheriff’s name badge has been corrected to match his name in contracts mode)
That’s amazing to hear, this has pestered me since forever. so many other disguise variants are very accurate between how the npc and 47 wear them, that felt like such an exception (although now i know there’s at least also that kitchen assistant with the red and white shirt who, upon getting the disguise, 47 decides to put some random glasses on.
Thanks community patches!! I should play on pc more
Also fixed! Although I did it in the reverse way - in early patches of 2016 that kitchen assistant also had those glasses, and they were still in his outfit entity, so I decided to re-enable them on the NPC rather than remove them from 47.
To be fair, I do sometimes think that 47 likes to put his own flair in some disguises, like how he wears the Marrakesh Market Sellers Disguises with the Hood up or the Kitchen Staff in Miami who wears his cap backwards, while 47 wears it normal. Actually I did the same with one of Streetguards in Chongqing Newimagined Mod.
I remember this most with the Haven Island IT staff, which he always consistently puts the hood up. I dont think there’s an actual version of that disguise with the hood down
Full disclosure, I couldn’t find the exact font IO used for the rest of the badge, but it’s so low resolution and pretty similar, so I think it’s good enough
Currently some of these are fixed by the mod, but it wouldn’t be hard to separate them out into another option if there’s demand for it.
My general rule of thumb right now is, if 47 is making the outfit look exactly the same no matter who he takes it from, I’ll “diversify” them a bit. The Marrakesh market sellers aren’t changed, since it’s clearly meant to be that 47 is hiding his appearance a bit more by wearing the hood up.
On the other hand, every Race Marshall in Miami looks the same when 47 takes their clothes. I thought that was a bit boring, so I fixed that one.
I recognize that this is a bit on the subjective side though, so again if there’s demand for the ones that aren’t strictly fixes to be separated into an option, let me know since it’s pretty easy to do :]
Berlin Reimagined is out and I’m proud to say that this is by far my biggest mod of reimagined series yet, covering not only the base mission “Apex Predator”, but also the “Berlin Egg Hunt”, “The Drop Elusive Target” and even “Satu Mare Delirium” Escalation.
REi Ambrose Island is out. Despite it’s much smaller scale it was still fun to do. For Mendoza Reimagined, I’d still like to make a few little adjustments, so that release will still take a couple of days.
